So that cleared up my question. Even though the lead was recovered by the protesting driver during the course of the race the officials ruled in their favor? Can’t say that I would have ruled it that way but I’m not a Rotax official.

“About eight laps in, Ilavia made contact with Cook’s bumper and she missed the left turn section of tic-tac-toe. This gave Ilavia a bit of an advantage, which was cut down to nothing. The two began jostling for position again as they entered the final circuit. Cook led as they took the flag, with Ilavia making a diving move into turn five after tic-tac-toe. Ilavia defending into turn nine, and Cook took advantage and was leading out of turn 10. Into the final corner, Ilavia came from three kart lengths back to out-brake Cook into the final corner.”

Was there contact in the final corner, the “diving move into turn five” or was the protest based on the contact “about 8 laps in”?

He wouldnt need the clutch, put it in neutral, run beside it pushing, jump in and bump to first gear. You can save your back in the pits by using a strap around the rear wheel.

G1 allows for porting, open CCV, polishing of trans parts, open pipe. Its about as open as it will be.

G1 in the SKUSA book is open I believe.

If you’re in Vegas look up the RPM/CRG guys, Mike, Michael, or Jerry. They’re are based in Bellville so could be near Waco on the way home depending on their route. Tell them I sent you, not sure if I have any pull but they are great guys.

You’re correct John. SKUSAs rule is for a filter but if a track is in a noise concious area they have the discretion to mandate a box. Goof luck.

I believe SKUSA mandates a 2 hole box, so you might have had in issue if you showed up to a SKUSA race that required the box. I would agree with checking the packing in your silencer as well, unless it’s fairly new.

If you happen to have an android phone there is an app for it. I think if you search Jetting the CR125 it will turn up. Uses your gps location for weather info and gives you jet, needle, clip position.

I recently sent an email the contact address on the KART site but haven’t gotten a reply as of yet so thought I’d ask here. Does KART offer a place for a Stock Honda to race or would it be combined with mods and ICC/KZ? Have thought about visiting the nationals at Heartland Park if there is a spot. Thanks.

Talking about the Clone or LO206 and looking at my local area I’d say yes an older chassis can be competitive. That being said, I think I’ve used this before but can anybody remember how old the chassis was when Jordon Musser won his first Rotax Grand National? If I’m thinking of the right race I believe he won on something that was 5+ years old at the time.

Running Stock Honda Heavy, would love to do a post race interview with Rob again but would take some serious luck for that to happen. I guess things will be available here to listen to when we get back in front of a computer? Safe travels to all who are coming.

As Doug said per SKUSA rules it’s supposed to be on the fairing. I have seen 3 videos so far from the Summer Nats with it on the radiator though. Maybe they don’t enforce that rule
