The person that buys this engine won’t be disappointed. I can honestly say that it’s a very strong engine. It is always at the front of the pack. The owners take very good care of all of their karting equipment.

There’s very little difference between the 2 and 3 pipe. If you run a shorter flex, you will get the same result. If you read the IKF rule book, it gives you all of the dimensions. The only difference is the volute. Use a 10-10.5″ flex and get the same result as a 3 pipe with a longer flex.
Check the rules section of Tri-C Karters or F100 karters for the direct flex length comparison.

Kiss your money goodbye. Did you notice that he is no longer a registered member? He knew that he scammed you just like he did to me.
I’ll let you know if he shows up at the track after this.

We use the plastic ones on our Birel’s. Put the front screw through the tab in the frame and drill a hole in the floor pan for the rear. Make sure that the screw (especially the rear ones) don’t protrude past the nut or you won’t be able to get the fuel tank out.

I’m sorry to say that I paid for my education dealing with this guy. I saw the listing for the engine and decided to steer clear of him. I wish you luck trying to recover any money but don’t hold your breath.

Contact Joey at TDC components in Redlands CA. He has scanned all of my Birel graphics. He can make you custom number panels or complete custom graphics. He does my number panels and they’re so good that a competitor put pictures of them on their website.

I too would like to see IKF come back. We race 2 cycle engines but would like to see growth no matter what the class.
That being said, we won’t be attending this years IKF nationals in Santa Maria. Due to their obscure age limits we are not allowed to participate. My son just turned 15 and has been racing in senior classes for the last year. Due to his size there is no way that he can race in the Jr classes. He holds SKUSA TaG Sr and shifter licenses and races in Sr classes in 3 clubs yet he is not allowed to race IKF. I believe that if their rules catch up with the times, so will their membership.

Very well put Stu. I don’t believe that I have ever met anyone with so much passion for the sport. Jerry was always willing to lend a hand to a driver or a club alike. We were all fortunate to know Jerry.

I don’t know of any racing this weekend. We are planning to practice at Cal Speed Sunday if we don’t get any “liquid sunshine”. There’s usually a good crowd on practice day.
I just drove back from the Midwest. As much as we complain about the weather here, we still get to race!

I was so happy to get a new 2T Mychron. I opened the box and there is a used single temp mychron. It has over 20 hours on it and has the guy’s name in it. So he at least had it out and played with it enough to know it’s used and is not a 2T. It doesn’t have the correct 2T wiring or anything to lead you to believe it’s a 2T. I text him and he says that’s the one I get. Well I guess I just got screwed. What’s really sad is this is a person that we race with. I now have less trust in my fellow racers. This is a sad state of affairs.

You need something slower so someone else can get on the podium for a change. I have an old yard kart for you.

That’s awful! And right before the inaugural race of the Nor Cal series. I hope this person or persons are caught and your belongings are returned.
If you need anything for the race on the 7th, let me know. You’re welcome to what we have.

We used our starter dollies Saturday & couldn’t be happier. It’s a must for one person operation. Everyone was commenting on how well it works. I think you will be getting lots of customers this week.

There was low turnout in some classes. Primarily Yamaha.
Thank you to IKF, all of the sponsors and everybody who spent 4 days in the 100 degree heat to put on this event! Thank you to Adams Motorsports Park and happy 55th anniversary!

The 1 engine has a small carburetor, altered ignition timing and less chamber clearance along with a 1 pipe. The 2 engine has the larger carburetor as do all of the other versions along with corresponding 2 pipe. The 3 & 4 have just pipe & flex length changes.
The lower number of the engine, the lower the output & torque curve. The lower the output, the longer the life. These are very simple & reliable engines that give you lots of track time between rebuilds. I just removed one K2 engine for rebuild after 16 races this year. It still runs as well as the day I put it in service but want to make sure it continues to.
You will want to purchase the unit that matches your racing type but they can be re-configured to different configurations easily. They are a Cadet to Masters class engine as they easily grow with you.
I can easily recommend this engine. Get with a reputable engine builder & get one.

Thanks for adding this class. With a minimum stall speed of 5000rpm I’ll be setting mine at 9000rpm to get out of the corners quicker.

I asked the same questions this year. The reason he wanted to stay down is that he is small. He is running in the 310lb class with weights bolted all over the kart. I don’t have a problem with it.
We have the opposite problem with a driver who just turned 14 and 5’10”. The scales aren’t kind to us. We will probably waiver up next year.
It’s too bad that you didn’t come to the race at Grange. Said driver charged hard all day and won the main. That’s his first win since he started karting. I was glad to see him do well. With that under his belt, he may consider moving up.
Why does this bother you so much? You said that you were moving from karting to cars.
