If it uses the older style spindles (8mm king pin), it’s likely 8mm x 22mm, if it’s newer (10mm king pin) it would be 10mm x 26mm bearing. The wheel bearings would be 17 x 35mm if it’s a 17mm spindle; or 25 x 42 x 12mm on the newer, 25mm spindles. Then, there’s just the uniball on the steering shaft.
Awesome. Thank you so much for your help. Much appreciated.
grab a pair of calipers and measure. I’d assume the rear axle uses 80mm x 50mm or 90mm x 50mm Does the kart use 17mm or 25mm front spindles?
I’m definitely gonna grab a pair and get to measuring but figured I’d ask if there was already a list with part numbers or an exploded view of the kart with all part numbers.

So today Dacey decided to respond to the PayPal Claim I had against him. He tried telling PayPal I did a local pickup of the Motor even though I am in Oregon and he is in Colorado supposedly. Needless to say I got a hold of PayPal, gave them the link to this post as well as the original post of the engine I bought, and they closed the case out in my favor and refunded me.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DIRTBAG

Dont wait Fred. Do it now. Dont waste your time. He is a scammer. He sent me and Samir the same exact tracking number for both of our motors. Not sure how PayPal will respond after your first claim but I hope for the best for you as well.

I am one of the 3 who have been taken. I currently have an open claim with PayPal as I made sure to send as goods and services to protect myself. It looks like Samir and myself received the same exact tracking number as well which shows only that the label was printed and nothing more.

      BUYER BEWARE

Hows it going EKN Family? So unfortunately there is another situation with this buyer.

I purchased a Swedetech Honda Motor from Dacey 10 days ago on the 19th. We came to an agreement on a price and I paid him via PayPal.

He agreed to ship the motor out on Monday the 20th on his way to work to make sure the motor was here by Thursday or Friday so I could still make my race for the weekend. He messaged me later that day saying he went by his local PostNet to drop it off but was before they opened and he had dropped it off later that day for Tuesday the 21st pickup. After waiting a day or two the Tracking never showed the motor was picked up. I called the office where he said he dropped it off and they said they dont have any record of him shipping anything. At this point I was starting to get a little discouraged about the deal since he claimed to have shipped it. He printed the label at work so all it tells me on FedEx was that the label was created and never picked up.

As soon as this stuff starts to happen another buyer posts on here about a possible bad dealing with him, at this point it really begins to get me nervous. He fills me in on the story and tries to set my mind at ease. After the motor does not update tracking or show up at my house by Friday he agrees to refund me my money after 48 hours while his PayPal account is reinstated.

Sunday comes and no refund. Monday comes and no refund. Tells me Tuesday after he gets off work he will refund me. Nothing. After 5 emails since yesterday trying to figure out whats going on, he has yet to contact me back to let me know where my money is. I was forced to open a claim with PayPal because of this.

Over the course of the last 10 days Dacey has been very quick and prompt about emailing me back which seemed to me that he was going to make it right. However, after 5 unanswered emails, being told I was going to be refunded over 5 times with nothing showing up, I am forced to post this to the EKN Family as a Buyer Beware.

He seemed to be a stand up guy during the entire situation but it seems like I have been hung out to dry like he told me I wouldnt be from the beginning.

I will update this if/when the situation is resolved.

I run the Hegar Starter on one of my Shifters. It is absolutely amazing. Keep in mind that the $650 Price Tag includes Starter, Shorai Lithium Battery, 2 Different Mounts (Bar or plate between feet), and wire loom. Well worth the money for sure. Just keep in mind since it goes seat side of the motor, depending on space, you may need the offset motor mount as well. If you do need that you will need the Offset Drive Gear also as well as an Offset J-Arm. Sine my seat and motor had not enough room I had to get the mount, gear, and j-arm as well. Super easy to install. Took me maybe 30 minutes and about 15 minutes to zip tie the wiring in place. If you can save up for one nice perk for your kart, I would say that would be it for sure.

I do have the Hegar electric starter on one of my Shifters. I must say, if there is one thing you could save up for, it would be this system. It works so amazingly well and has the quality is second to none. Keep in mind though, the $650 is the starter, high quality Shorai Lithium battery, machined battery mounts, and wire loom. In some cases I believe you will need the SharkShifter Offset Motor Mount, Offset J-Arm, and offset Gear. I needed that plus the low profile oil plug bolt because it would hit the frame. If you are small and have the space between the seat and motor then you dont need that extra stuff. I however run a XL Ribtect Seat and I did need that stuff because there was literally maybe a 1/4″ Between my seat and motor to begin with.

It is on one of my Tony Kart Kryptons, but that is my experience. Well worth the money honestly. Its one of those things like an electric lift. Not necessary but if you can get it, you will be thanking yourself you did.

Yes I am Andrew. Stock Moto Shifter with J-Arm.

I have a feeling there is supposed to possibly be some bushings in the bolts the go to the steering column area? It would make sense if there was for it. Ill have to do some research and see what I can find, if any more.
