Amped up racing series based in Nashville races mainly LO206, I think they have a shifter class, not sure what turn out is like in either class but I don’t think they run TAG.

Check out Atlanta Motorsports Park in Dawsonville, GA. It’s about 2 hrs drive from me in Chattanooga, short enough to make a day trip. I started racing there last winter. Great track, races once a month, good TAG fields and shifters most events. There is a facebook group and they guys are pretty good about letting the group know ahead of time if there will be enough shifters to make a race.

Update: Pulled all the ground wires and scrubbed connectors with wire brush and contact cleaner. Also backed the idle screw almost all the way out and it started!

Long story short I was definitely flooding it… (facepalm)

Update: Compression tester showed 160 psi. so, I think the ring is OK. Still won’t start though.

Tried some fuel in the plug hole and no ignition.

Last race I stripped a drive gear in the final. I saw 16000 on the tach and I thought the rev limiter would protect the engine from over-revving. Is it possible the timing was messed up somehow? I wouldn’t think so since it is gear driven but I’m new to 2 stroke so I’m just grasping at straws at this point.

It doesn’t seem to have a lot of resistance when I turn it over by hand but definitely has some. Do you know how much compression it’s supposed to have? I have a found a compression gauge I can borrow, just don’t know what number I’m looking for.
