Sent you an email through the cl ad with questions. Very interested.

Richard GordonParticipantOther chassis that would work are CRG Parolin or Merlin that will accept a front porch extension kit. Also interested in Comet Eagle with extended porch. For TaG, looking for extended porch 125cc set up for Senior class. Will consider chassis from 2005- or newer if low run time and in nice shape. Car has factory hard top. Lots of upgrades and regular maintenance has been performed on the car. Runs strong and is a blast to drive.
Richard GordonParticipantWalt,
would like to buy safety wire pliers, neck collar, and the gloves. On vacation right now. Can PayPal Ina few days or will have to wait until after the 19th when I get home.
Richard GordonParticipantI used to run modified flatheads back in the mid 80’s in NC. We ran a race at 311 speedway in Madison. 1/2 mile dirt oval. Had around 50 karts. We averaged 95 mph laps! My hands were totally numb from the vibrations at the end of those 20 laps. Fun stuff and you could build a competitive engine for around $1k if you knew what you were doing. Saw one guy that even turned a flat head into an ohv with a home made head. Talk about creativity and innovation. You won’t find that kind of stuff anymore. I’m putting together a LO206 as we speak though. Want to get my son into karting and around here it is by far the cheapest and easiest way to do it. Other option here is TaG. It would cost 2-3X more to get something put together. I see it leaving more in the hands of the driver and chassis set up. Not a bad thing, but miss the smell of methanol and the sound of the pop corn poppers that shook the ground.
Richard GordonParticipantThe the setup manual calls for 57% and a 49% left. The 49 seems a bit weird. Tires are Duro which are probably like a rock. I have Burris tires for now. Will use those up for practice before getting the club race tires. Want to get several practice days in before racing and I will need wider wheels since they are using a much wider tire than what my chassis came with.
Richard GordonParticipantThanks for all the useful info. Guessing the motor mount studs that thread into the mount also. How about the clutch bolt? Is on a LO206.
Richard GordonParticipantThey sent me the new one for 4.15. Guessing they are pretty similar. Tires are Duro which are hard rental tire. Some of the things I see that are different than other chassis is the high rear weight and setting the axle high. Seems most other 4 cycle sprint chassis use around 53-54% rear and do the opposite for rear ride height. Still have to mount the seat and get some scales.
Richard GordonParticipantGrand Junction Motor Speedway has club racing with LO206 in addition to the one CJKA series race. Not sure on the rules, but they use the B&S engine rules with a Duro tire. They vary the weight from race to race. Class is new there and only a handful racing there. I am putting a kart together for my son to run there.
Richard GordonParticipantOK, think I found what I need. Looks like the cable with a barrel end works with the slide.
