This caliper with that bracket would be good. Have to have A 1/4 in rotor also.

I just read your last comment again, A “tap ” of the hammer!! really!! and you think its going to hold brake pedal pressure!! AXE IT! I know it hurts but hitting A wall is going to hurt more, or the other person you use as A brake.

I am not a professional, but I have been around karting long enough to see new comers come and go because of stories like this. The same people are going to win at these higher end races if they had one of these so called matched perfect engines your claiming they have (days of thunder movie comes to mind). They have the seat time, they have the experience of setup, and they know how to plain make the whole package work!! A small gain in HP is going to help in racing , but its not going to keep you there week in and week out if your not on YOUR game. So saying you HAVE to pay that much for a matched engine does not hold water in the world of racing. The whole package is consistence. Horsepower is hit and miss for good finishes.

Karting has been fragmented for many years, and it has hurt it bad.

BUT… look at the bigger picture….

    nascar

    nationwide

    ARCA

    silver crown

    indycar

    sprint cars

    latemodels

    sportsmans

    hobby stocks

    bombers

    hornets

    midgets

    minisprints

on and on it goes and everyone of the classes listed here there has two or 3 variants of that car.

more places/cars to choose to race…fewer racers overall because more and more  people dont work on cars themselves. So as A whole Racing is going to suffer overall. It is not going to get any better anytime soon from my perspective. Now Karting as A whole can be saved but its not gonna happen because all series get smart and go to SUCH AND SUCH motor all in one yr. Its just going to take YEARS of grtty dirty work of EVERYONE working together (racers/promoters and so on)

    Just me thinking outloud here.

I used to think same as most but, In the last two years its been proven that ether setup can win at the highest level. The only class I have not seen it(lay-down seat) win (yet) is in TAG. I’ve seen “sit-up” karts with lay down seats run identical lap times as a regular “4cycle chassis” and vice versa.

The true question is, which seat compliments your physical size, and you driving preference I think. period.
