    All – Thank-you for all of the comments and suggestions.

     

    First, I checked the spark.  Ok there.

    Second, I checked the plug, no fuel… Hummm.  I cranked it over a few times and didn’t see fuel moving past the pump…  I had a spare pump so I put it on.  I blew some fuel thru it, and it started on the second pull.  Ran fine after that.

    I will be rebuilding the fuel pump I took off tomorrow.

    It’s mounted on the seat just below the carb. Today I ordered the bracket from swedetech that mounts it above the carb.

    I’m planning on running the Dart Kart club races this year. With that being said, and if infact the Dark Kart Club has elected to go with AKRA I’ll need the 2015 rule book.

    I went online to the AKRA website to see that I need to call to get the 2015 rulebook. I have called the last 3 business days (left a message), with no return phone call.

    Does anyone have the 2015 rule book? If so, how’d you get it.

    Also, can someone confirm if the Dart Kart Club switched from WKA to AKRA?

    If you have any interest in road racing, there is a large race at least once a month throughout the summer in the mid-west.

    May 15-17, Grattan Raceway (Belding Michigan) – WKA event by Dart Kart Club

    June 19-21, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (Lexington, Ohio) – WKS event, by Dart Kart Club

    July 11-12, Grattan Raceway (Belding, Michigan) – Championship Enduro Series

    September 19-20, Michigan International Raceway – Michigan Kart Club run event

    I like where your priorities are!  I have been forced to keep my engines in a box in a closet for the winter. Perhaps if I can take your approach my wife would clean them as part of her weekly dusting routine?!

    Pipe is CKT 4

    Pump Around fuel system

    Keihin Carb

    Air Filter

    The kart is setup for road racing.

    I’m looking forward to your response.  Anyone else with advise, I’m all ears.
