Some Moto-X’rs feather the clutch on track, especially a cr125. When I raced two strokes, I pulled the clutch, pinned the throttle and used the clutch to accelerate through the corners (especially if their were ruts).  I could burn up a clutch in a couple months on a bike, Ive yet to burn a cr125 clutch up on a kart. For the most part, the clutch is used on the starts only. Ill go months between oil changes and the oil still looks new, have never had trans failure and went 20 months on my last rebuild.

BTW, prob spend 3 weekends a month at the track.

In case anyone is interested, they are going to allow a few guys to practicing Buttonwillow this Saturday. Its $200 for a full day and $100 for half day .

Looks like ill be there along with a couple buddies. Good chance to get some rare tests time on a big track.

Eric Gossard set it up, you can contact either of us if you need more info. I think they need a head count, so if you plan on going let us know. You can pm or email me jmcneil166@yahoo.com

    “50 car invert…”

How about transponders required in the final practice, line up the fastest guys in the back of the pack.

Wait that would never work, I could just see Chris and his brother going .1mph on the track fighting for slow lap ;)

Maybe require transponders in the final practice.

I thought the race was cool. I told some buddies the race would prob take 5 hours because all the cautions, it was just the opposite. The guys did a awesome job keeping the trucks pointed in the right direction. A lot of good side by side racing and even some 4 wide action. Hope they do it again next year.

Hope these guys don’t mind me posting their names online.

    Robert Marks – stock Honda

    Darrell Tunnell – stock Honda

    Luke Bianco – stock Honda

    Peter Mastro – stock Honda

    Clinton Schoombi – stock Honda

    Roy Montgomery – stock Honda

    Vivek Tandon – stock Honda

Ethan Wilson – tag or shifter

Jimmy McNeil – stock Honda, open class, possibly SuperKart?

I have a couple others but not comfortable posting their names.

Im also talking to a couple pretty big teams. Its hard to work aggressively to push this event when its yet to be carved in stone. Hopefully that will change soon.

I have 11 on my yes list for this event.

Ive also talked to promoters of other series, they’re  excited about this event and plan on doing what they can to back it. I was a little worried bringing it up to certain people, thinking they might see it as a threat to their series. Their response has been just the opposite, their excited and even showed interest in driving.

I think 70 to 100 stock Hondas is possible.

Once in a life time opportunity to drive COTA. Hell Ya, lets rally the troops and get behind this event. My check books ready, just waiting for the green light.

Proud to be the first to start the crap talking on the new EKN, I always enjoy these discussions.

“Jimmy, lets go Down Under for some Superkarting… I am transplanting some Canadian equipment in Adelaide.”

    Shoot me a pm

If your going to meet that Sam character down there, take him a bottle of 409 for me.
