Greg WrightParticipant
.010 is HUGE!!! .003 should be fine. I wouldn’t take your measurements to the bank however. It needs to be checked with a proper dial bore gauge.
Greg WrightParticipantThe Streeter bead breaker is the best I’ve ever seen. Lots of leverage but no hydraulics. I accidentally broke down a bead without removing the valve core and it popped right down.
Greg WrightParticipantI have 2 new ones on the shelf 10 tooth #35.

Greg WrightParticipantOh I get it, Don’t feed the trolls. Got it…
Greg WrightParticipantWhat do you have a death wish? That is an amazingly dumb thing to do. I assume you were wearing a helmet but t-shirt and shorts?? I’m glad it crapped out on you before you got killed.
Greg WrightParticipantAs far as I know all kart racing sanctioning bodies will take away your license or membership if they find out somehow that you ran a kart on a public street.
Greg WrightParticipantIt appears that there was a serious crash Saturday in (I think) IAME Jr. Any news on the condition of the drivers involved?
Greg WrightParticipantUhhhhh, I don’t believe it’s oil that they are checking for.
Greg WrightParticipantRobert, Dean Axe is now aware of the change, Randy McDaniel is coming with him so you’re covered.
Greg WrightParticipantRobert, I texted Dean Axe this morning.
Greg WrightParticipantReduce caster, widen rear track, increase tire pressures.
Greg WrightParticipantMost 100cc reed valve engines (Reedjet, TT75 etc.) have no ignition cover.
Greg WrightParticipantOriginal story was February 2018.
Greg WrightParticipantThey were built by Jeff Snelling in the Indianapolis area. As far as I know they were never actually in full production. I could be wrong on that.
Greg WrightParticipantAs far as the seat goes get a seat that fits and adjust the left side (radiator side) seat strut by bending it until you get a proper fit.
I wouldn’t run just pump gas, too much chance of detonation.
Greg WrightParticipantBrian, thanks for the update. You were bad ass fast as always and you remain a class act.
All that Arkansas Wind Tunnel testing sure has paid off.
Greg WrightParticipantThanks Gary you saved me from writing the same thing. I’m amazed at how many kart racers don’t understand what trail braking actually is. Your advice is spot on.
Greg WrightParticipantWhere is Brian Wilhelm and his account of the results of the “Arkansas Wind Tunnel” developed machine. Damn that thing is fast.
Greg WrightParticipantThanks David, this is just what I needed in my life. Looking forward to seeing your dad this season.
Greg WrightParticipantI would also like to hear Tim’s thought. I’ve got my own but you’ve heard most of my rants.
Greg WrightParticipantOn an enduro I put axle collars on everything and I mean everything.
Greg WrightParticipantRob, I’ll have to be convinced that this is a good thing. I totally agree with your “Brake Check” scenario. In fact that’s the first thing I thought of when I heard about drop down bumpers.
Greg WrightParticipantIt’s a little hard to tell from the pics, are there any numbers inside the spindle “U” bracket? If not my guess is that it’s a Margay Enduro “clone” that was made by Fox Valley Kart in Lafayette Indiana a few years ago.
November 12, 2016 at 7:36 am in reply to: Three Things You Want to See Changed in United States Karting #74155Greg WrightParticipantJust three things!!! Well I’ll try.
Eliminate manufacturer control of rules, series and classes.
Eliminate the crazy number of so called “National” series. (Remember all the heartburn when it was just WKA and IKF?)
Convince the sanctioning bodies that there is more than one form of kart racing and that National racing doesn’t define kart racing.
That’s only a scratch on the surface.
Greg WrightParticipantDan, In your opinion is it possible to resurrect this event? As much as I would like to see it come back historically when an event gets canceled the odds on reviving it are slim.
I hope I’m wrong.
