Greg CavourasParticipant
Hi Tyler,
I’m having trouble sending you a message, could you please send me an email so we can chat about these engines? Thanks
Greg CavourasParticipantThanks but it’s not the bypass hose I’m looking for, it is the hoses that go from rad to water pump to engine.

Greg CavourasParticipantYes, still available. Please email me if interested.
Greg CavourasParticipantThis is a very common problem with 6″ super kart wheels and tires…. go to your local auto parts store and buy some bead sealant. Clean the bead area thoroughly, and after you mount your tires but before you inflate them to set them, apply a thin film around the bead where the tire meets the rim and your leaks will stop.
Greg CavourasParticipantStill looking for a Gillard!
Greg CavourasParticipantIf there was a strong field, I would love to run a twin… but I frankly think the NW’s best option for building a competitive well-attended series is with the singles.
Greg CavourasParticipantI suggest you pull off the clutch cover (right side of the engine) and have a look. It shouldn’t be like that so you may have some worn parts. The other thing to do is adjust the air gap on the throwout arm, which can be accessed by the centre plug on the clutch cover.
Greg CavourasParticipantSorry not sure, they have no obvious marking. Came off of a BRM if that helps.
Greg CavourasParticipantSold
Greg CavourasParticipantStill keen to buy parts if you decide to separate.
Greg CavourasParticipantThe fact is that there are relatively few “older” karts that have been set up and maintained properly.
Many people mistake “worn components” for “worn chassis” and rather than squaring/aligning their old chassis and replacing the typical wear items (eg: kingpin bearings) they buy something new.
A well prepared/maintained chassis that’s even several seasons old can easily win club races with a good driver.
Greg CavourasParticipantI believe he is new to the class, nice fellow named Stuart from SoCal. Hope there are big fields this season!
Greg CavourasParticipantAwesome! Makes me wish I was racing with you guys this year.
Greg CavourasParticipantThe kart looks like a reasonably nice unit. That said, and not wanting to start a big debate about it, I’m going to suggest that unless you have your heart set on a 250F you’d be happier picking up a 125.
Greg CavourasParticipantYou’ve always got stuff I want! But we need to clear some space in the garage for something a little bigger, otherwise I’d probably just hang on to it.
Greg CavourasParticipantCould you please send me a pm with current contact info? I have been trying to get ahold of him for a little while – agreed, best pads and service around.
Greg CavourasParticipantThanks for the input guys. FYI Tony Murphy has OEM pistons and the ones on ebay are 67.5s (which I do have).
