My Trackmagic kart came with paddle (butterfly) shifter. It sucked ass! The problem was that the upshifts pulled the cable to shift and worked pretty good. The down shifts pushed through the cable and was pretty worthless. Sometimes it would downshift and sometimes it wouldnt. I think a double cable setup would have worked pretty good, but I lost interest in that idea and put in a standard bump shift system purchased used off of ebay for a song.
What are the frame diameters of this kart chassis?
Does this kart have front brakes?
Any of these have front brakes?
He didnt have any reason for the alleged power advantage.
James,
The instructor briefly mentioned adding reeds to pp engines, but gave no details. Can you give me some examples of which pp engines guys are adding the reeds to?
Others can chime in, but I thought it was about 60mph.
What year is the Trackmagic chassis?
There is an entire turnkey wankel kart for sale on ebay.
While not a pickup, I haul mine in the back of an Isuzu Rodeo 5 door suv 1996 vintage. We take the side pods off and rear wheels off and it goes right in and all doors and window close. We fold the trolley/transporter and bungie it to the roof rack.
So, on the piston crown reading thing….just pull the plug, rotate engine until piston is at bottom of stroke and view with mini flash light? No exhaust or intake removal to view the piston?
Do you guys view the piston crown by looking through the intake and exhaust ports, or by pulling the head off? (yes, I am a newbie at karting)
Anyone have an opinion on this one?
Is this set up as a shifter kart? Where are you located?
Speaking of Nationals, are any of the Garfield clan running this year?
Troy and Bo,
Your guy’s karts are using a steel braided cable without a vinyl covering, but inside a vinyl outer housing? Mine is vinyl covered and in a plastic cable housing.
