      Just take it apart and see what broke.

      I’ve had this problem with mine also.  Play with the foot control, it may need adjustment.  If not, it’s possible that it needs a new switch in the foot controller.   I had to replace mine.  I needed a switch, new cord, and some tire lube.  Costs me 77.83 euros.

      Thanks guys did take apart found some loose bolts a a stone stuck in the foot linkage keeping it from full engagement now works fine,
