Hi Brian,

My son and I are just getting started, and though we’re on a budget I’d still like to get him an engine with good performance he can use once his driving skills develop.  Was this your son’s race motor and how would you rate its performance?

We both got started late last year.
I bought the Comer and he had one weekend racing on it.

He’s a novice, so I was happy he didn’t crash out or get lapped but he didn’t finish with the pack, and I can’t blame the motor.

Since I’m running a KT100 and he’s turning 13 this year I thought it best to get us both on the same motor for spares and experience rebuilding, etc.

In general, the Comer is not a budget motor to run. To develop them into winning motors, and keep them in top condition takes $.
