Animal Road Racing at VIR

      Looking for some advice. Going to repower a Yamaha Pipe Spring kart with an Animal motor for a new driver. What clutch is being used and what do you run for a gear ratio for the VIR configuration being run this year.

      Mike,

      Back in our area under KART, we run the Bully adult stock. It’s a 6 spring/3 disc clutch. They seem to work real good. In road racing I would say that you need 21th gear on the clutch. As for a exact ratio for VIR, no help on that. We run from a 55 to a 60 at our tracks.
