In a continued effort to highlight the many outstanding performances by drivers around the country, eKartingNews.com is proud to introduce the ‘Driver of the Month’ program. Each month, the staff at EKN will determine the one driver who stood out above the rest and give the viewers a chance to know exactly what they accomplished and who they are.

The Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals each year is among the most coveted karting events in the world. A spot on the grid must be earned in order to even compete for a world Rotax championship each year. For the last 20 years, Team Canada has produced great results, including two Nations Cup awards and six Rotax titles. Looking to add to that list is Ayden Ingratta, who earned his ticket to be part of Team Canada by winning the RMC America’s Trophy championship.

Ingratta has been part of Team Canada twice, in 2021 as a Junior MAX driver and in 2025 in Senior MAX. Both times at the RMC Grand Finals were in Bahrain. Ayden was unable to transfer to the Final in 2021, placing 40th in the point standings. Last year he was the top qualifier in Senior MAX, but ended up finishing sixth in the main event.

His ticket to Portugal for the November 7-14 event at the Kartodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão was earned through the four round RMC America’s Trophy championship. Ingratta was able to sweep the opening two rounds of racing at the Musselman Honda Circuit in Tucson, AZ back in March before traveling to the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati over the June 5-7 weekend in Batavia, Ohio.

Ingratta was able open up Round Three with fast time in qualifying with a lap of 56.014, edging out Macy Williams by 73 thousandths. He fought off her early challenge to go on and win the Prefinal. Finnegan Bayliff, who lives at the MCC facility, stepped up in the Final to challenge Ingratta for the top spot. After leading two laps, Ayden returned to the point and drove away to a 2.6-second margin of victory to claim a third straight victory.

Qualifying for Round Four on Sunday was close again, this time with Ingratta securing the quick time by only 74 thousandths ahead of Bayliff with a time of 56.066. Both Bayliff and Nash were able to push Ingratta back to third early in the Prefinal. Nash held off the charging Ingratta by only 18 thousandths to claim the Prefinal win, breaking the streak that began in Round One for Ayden. The Final began the same as the Prefinal with Ingratta back to third at the start. It only took until lap four when Ingratta took back the top spot. From there, Ayden led the remainder of the 20-lap Final, driving away to a 5.1-second advantage to claim a fourth straight victory while securing the series championship and the RMC Grand Finals ticket.

Over the last seven weeks, Ingratta has gained four victories in Rotax Max Challenge competition in Canada. Ayden won the opening two rounds of the RMC Ontario program, the first at Hamilton Karting Complex on May 29-31 and the second at Mosport Karting Centre on June 19-21. He and Racing Edge Motorsports traveled east to the RMC Quebec program. The opening round on June 26-28 at Academie TAG Karting ended with victory for Ingratta before returning on July 10-12 for a fourth straight triumph in Rotax competition in Canada. The RMC Ontario continues this weekend (July 17-19) at the Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario before heading to the Canadian Open at SRA Karting – Mirabel on July 24-26. Canada continues two more major events in August, including the RMC Western Final on August 7-9 at the Calgary Kart Racing Club before the Canadian Karting Championships on August 14-16 at Hamilton.
