Endurance racing is set for a return to the New Castle Motorsports Park. The home of the famed RoboPong 200 is set to bring back a 200-lap endurance race, scheduled for the October 4-6 weekend at the New Castle, Indiana facility.

The NCMP 200 is offering up a prize package of $35,000 on the weekend, including a $10,000 payday for the winning team in the headline KA100 Senior 200-lap event. Support classes of KA100 Junior, Mini Swift and Briggs 206 Junior will also be competing with the winning driver in each category taking home $2,500. The entry list for the headline NCMP 200 event is forming, including two-time IndyCar Champion and two-time Indy 500 winner Josef Newgarden. The Team Penske driver from Nashville, Tennessee is a former two-time winner of the famed RoboPong 200 event to have his name twice on the Dan Wheldon Cup – which will continue with the NCMP 200 race. Fellow IndyCar driver Kyffin Simpson is also slated to compete at the NCMP 200. The Barbados driver raised in the Cayman Islands took on his rookie IndyCar season in 2024 with Chip Ganassi Racing. Simpson comes in with a lot of time spent karting at New Castle Motorsports Park in his Cadet and Junior years.

Tentatively, Jacob Abel, runner-up in the 2024 Indy NXT Series championship, is set to be part of the NCMP 200 as well. The driver from Louisville, Kentucky began his karting at New Castle Motorsports Park before moving up the open wheel ranks. USF Pro 2000 champion for the 2024 season – Lochie Hughes – will be part of the NCMP 200. The driver from Australia was an international karting driver from 2014 to 2017. EKN has also learned a possible entry from two-time IndyCar champion and Indy 500 winner Will Power is expected. There is talk of six-time Indy Car champion and Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon making a return for the event. Dixon has participated in the RoboPong 200 many times and finished runner-up with Newgarden in the final event in 2015.

Partnering up with Newgarden will be part of the Dismore family lineage in Logan Adams. The USF Pro 2000 driver is the grandson of NCMP owner Mark Dismore. It was Newgarden and Dismore Sr. who won the RoboPong 200 event in 2011, with Adam’s uncle Mark Dismore Jr. and Newgarden teaming up to win the 2013 edition.

Another notable entry for the event includes Brandon Jarsocrak Racing field a team of Pauly Massimino and James Overbeck. Both are winners in the KA100 Senior division at USPKS, with Overbeck the 2024 SKUSA Pro Tour champion. More teams on the tentative list as well, waiting to get through the USPKS weekend at New Castle Motorsports Park.
