Confirmed last month, the New Castle Motorsports Park is set to host a 200-lap endurance race over the October 4-6 weekend. The NCMP 200 features the headline KA100 Senior division along with support races for KA100 Junior, Mini Swift and Briggs 206 Junior categories. In total, a prize package of $35,000 will be handed out over the all the races, including a $10,000 payday for the overall winning team in the 200-lap main event and entries into the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 27.

“We are very excited to bring back endurance racing to the karting community,” stated New Castle Motorsports Park Track Manager Mike Adams. “There are many karters today that never participated or know the prestige that was the RoboPong 200. Our goal is to bring back that excitement with a unique and different event from what many in the sport today are accustomed to. This event will test man and machine in order to finish on top of the podium.”

The NCMP 200 will see teams, or solo drivers, compete for 200 laps around the New Castle Motorsports Park. The headline division will feature two 30-minute practice sessions Friday morning with two one-hour sessions in the afternoon. Three more 30-minute practice rounds for the 200-lap endurance teams take place Saturday morning with Qualifying scheduled for the afternoon. A 10-minute warm-up Sunday morning will be the final time teams have to prepare for the 200 laps, with the main event set to go green at 12:30pm Eastern.

The support classes will have two 10-minute practices to open action on Friday before running two 30-minute sessions in the afternoon. Three 10-minute practice sessions make up their schedule for Saturday morning before they go into Qualifying and 15-lap Prefinal races in the afternoon. Following warm-up Sunday morning, each class will compete in a 30-lap main event with the winning driver for each class taking home $2,500. If a driver can win both KA100 Junior and Briggs 206 Junior, they will be awarded new IAME and Briggs 206 engines in addition to the prize money.

Teams for the NCMP 200 can consist of a minimum of one driver, and a maximum of four drivers. Class structure for the event will follow Superkarts! USA engine rules for the IAME categories with the 2024 Briggs & Stratton Rule Set for Briggs 206 Junior. Tires for all categories will be the MG SH2 ‘Red’ compound (front 4.60 / rear 7.10) with MG rain tires for wet weather. Minimum weight will be declared by NCMP prior to the event.
