Andy Seesemann Named Director of United States Rotax Max Challenge
Seesemann to also take over entrant duties for Team USA
As the owner and promoter of the Rotax Challenge of the Americas and the So-Cal Rotax Challenge, Andy Seesemann will now take over the role as United States Rotax MAX Challenge Director. With a wealth of knowledge in the karting community and a strong supporter of the Rotax program, Seesemann will take over effective immediately to help make sure that all regional and national Rotax series have a sense of direction and unity.
“I am happy that Richard approached me to take the reigns of the USRMC,” explained Seesemann. “The Rotax program is near and dear to my heart and I will do anything to help. I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to working with all the Rotax series directors across the country.”
“As you can imagine with the last round of the Florida Winter Tour, we have been extremely busy and now we turn our efforts towards the US Open,” explained MAXSpeed Group President Richard Boisclair. “I have been consulting with my team on how we move forward and have a strong team for our future. We needed a strong individual to guide the Rotax MAX Challenges, and Andy is one of the most efficient and knowledgeable individuals in karting. He will bring a new energy and our relationship has been one of team effort since the first day we meet. I am very happy with Andy accepting the challenge and looking forward to solidifying our market share throughout the United States.”
It should be noted that Seesemann’s new role is not one that will replace recently departed USRMC Director Josh Smith.
Boisclair added, “Andy is the first piece to the puzzle as Josh’s former job will be split amongst several individuals. Though Andy will still promote his own karting series, he will now be the point of contact for all USRMC questions and bring new energy to the MAXSpeed family.”
Already supporting the Rotax karting program throughout the United States, Andy Seesemann will also take over the Team USA Entrant position at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals. With his first calling of duty later this year in Portimao, Portugal, Seesemann will immediately begin assembling plans and ideas for the 2015 edition of Team USA.
