One of our local stores carry HJC and Arai. But at the moment I can’t afford the Arai. And the HJC for about $150(forgot the model number) seems like it isn’t as good as the more expensive models just because of pricing. :(

Thanks guys.  What about pricing ?  I know it’s your head but are you spending $600(Arai) or are you spending more like $300?  I’m not trying to skimp, but I am starting from scratch so having to buy a kart, engine, safety equipment, fuel and everything else to get going , I am trying to keep any expenses as low as possible. But I do understand about not going cheap when it comes to safety.   But what is your budget for a helmet? And does paying big bucks really make a huge difference in quality?

I’m very new to the forum.  I like the look of the website.  The one thing I think would help the forum is an easy way to post photos. I took tons of photos from this years Robopong,  went to the FAQ on posting photos but was unable to get it to work.  I use shutterfly as my web photo storage place.  I’m sure it is something I was doing but making it so photos are easy to post would be a big help.  Just like Freddy, I’m not criticising as I know what a monumental task it is to run a website, just a friendly suggestion as most people are visual people.

Thanks and keep up the good work!!

So we went to the Robopong yesterday! Had a fabulous time.

One thing we noticed was a tv crew following a family around everywhere. Someone said it was for a reality karting show?  Is that true? Never heard of such thing and couldn’t find anything on the internet.  Ideas?

    Thanks

Thanks guys. We live in the kentucky/ohio region. Camden kart track in Indiana is the closest.  Also, new castle Indiana . Both tracks are a 3 hour drive each way for us. Surprised there isn’t anything in kentucky.  Any idea why? I know there are some dirt tracks around but no road courses for the karts.

We are interested in road racing on probably purpose built tracks.  I’m guessing my son would race in the junior sportsman class.
