We had a seat strut break on a relatively new CRG KT1 frame las year so we lopped it off, ground down the frame, and replaced it with an after market bolt-on. No noticeble difference in lap times or handling.
I’m working on 50mm bearings. I would run Wd-40 through them at the track to flush out dirt. They have about 16 days on them so I hadnt planned on replacing them. For my Winter tear down I ran brake cleaner through them and then Wd-40. It got rid of the obvious dirt sound and they seem to be spinning nicely but I was wondering if anyone else had any tried and true methods.
We’ve been playing with low needle settings for a few race days and still can’t seem to get the Kart moving to leave pit road or take a green flag. Once it’s going it’s pretty good. I could walk faster than the kart moves for the first lap or so. We’ve tried different carbs and still no power at low end. It’s almost like the clutch is grabbing too early and bogging the motor down.
