Carter you should come down and check out NOLA Motorsports park.  real dedicated sprint kart track.

Yep ICC can make more power but you really have to keep up on jetting.  Get is a tick wrong and the Hondas eat them up.   Get it right and whoa buddy hang on.

It is power lost if oil and gas is escaping.    I would also pose the question does the pipe get hotter with an air leak?  It’s all about building as much pipe pressure as you can.

Something else I thought of while not working today and watching World finals from my desk.   We tend to run these motors WAY leaner than what Rotax recommends in thier fancy charts in the operators manual.     This would definately burn out the first 2″ of packing.    I pretty much open and inspect after each race weekend.

Other than completely covering the radiator while warming up the engine on the stand  not much else.  I get mine to 115 or 120 on the stand and then shut it off and put on ground get dressed and wait for grid release to go on track.  fire it up and go easy 1st lap with rad flap down and maybe my hand over the front.  I try to run enough tape to maintain 150 min with flap down.

I don’t think this has anything to do with packing blow out.   Are you sealing the header with the RTV?  use doubled up springs.

Drivers are waking up to 36 degrees this morning.  Should warm to mid 50’s by noon VERY windy.  20 MPH sustained to make a wind chill of 25 degrees.

We had the same issues finding a helmet to fit a “too big for the Bell star” and too small for an adult XS.   Ended up with the Pyrotect Pro air that has several different cheek pads and crown spacers.  Basically custom fit when ever big red marks start showing up on forehead or his cheeks are doing the “fish face” .

I found this pretty awesome hand cleaner that has so far taken off everything I had ever gotten on my hands.  It is called Tarkelp  I last found it @ the Harbor frieght store but also found it at Big Lots.     You can get it on line from a distibutor  I bought 6 tubs of it.

Easy on the skin and no smell left behind.  and it CLEANS really good.

I think most 4 stroke chassis will support a 2 stroke fitment wise.

However a 2 stroke chassis can be a real bear to fit a 4 stroke on unless you get some spiffy jack shaft fixture thingy.    You are doing the right thing researching all the stuff out there, karts are way more expensive than most people think.

Sometimes I like the research and studying of things more than the purchase.   Heck it took me 4 weeks of shopping to to buy a Bokken for Aikido.  It’s just a wood sword right?

Thanks Brian exactly the thing I am looking for.

Will DR be at the world finals?  I got 2 tickets to spectate

I agree TJ,  but I always give the “Internet” a chance to wiegh in.  If I am going to drop a big chunk of money on a newish roller I only want to do it once.
