June 18, 2014 at 7:45 pm in reply to: CR125 Engine Mount, pipe/silencer cradle, Mychron 3Gold #29139Harrison PotsworthParticipantSale pending on the Mount combo and Mychron.
The CR125 engine mount is PSR brand.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantThis is more of a Boston F1 problem than anywhere else. I don’t know of one other track that is more strict on engine noise then this place. Only engine that doesn’t have a sound issue on that track is rotax.
If only we could pick that track up and relocated it somewhere else…
Harrison PotsworthParticipanttl:dr, but I’d rather spend that money on having a camera (Gopro, Ion, etc) on each of the damn karts to check a reply at race end. If someone has been shoved excessively, it can be protested and proven.
Make the penalties harsh. Very harsh. As in, DNF for rough driving harsh.
Edit: Europeans gotta make their $ right, so start selling front and rear bumpers/fairings with camera mounts in them already.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantTJ, I disagree. Just because you have not seen it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Couple weeks ago a driver’s knee was torn wide open while wearing a karting suit in a nasty crash. Skin was ground down to the knee-cap.
John, agreed on the stinky part lol, but the protection must be better. I love the breath-ability of my custom kart suit, but honestly, if I’m to hit the pavement, I’d rather be in my Herioc mototcycle leathers. Modern leathers breathe pretty well too, as long as you’re moving. Still tight n get stinky tho
Harrison PotsworthParticipantCentral NJ, moutain creek and any of the assorted places in the poconos for boarding.
OVRP, englishtown and NJMP for karting.
That’s what I do. All of which in a 2hr radius.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantGenerally I’d stay away from those. I tend to like the heavier more robust carbs:
Harrison PotsworthParticipantName your price.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantIn short, absolutely everything. Seriously, check everything you have time to check inbetween rounds. Safety wire as much as you can.
In sprint racing there is no benefit to balancing the tires. In road racing, there is.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantLeatt Brace man. I use the DBX Comp 4 for karting, works great!
http://www.leatt.com/shop/dbx-comp-4.htmlIf your neck starts to lean, it hits the brace giving you some support, but you still have plenty of freedom to look around (important!).
Harrison PotsworthParticipantbump for offers
Harrison PotsworthParticipantEveryone is here: http://www.neshifterkartseries.com/schedule.html
Harrison PotsworthParticipant$1450??
I need the space! Someone buy this!
Harrison PotsworthParticipantWhat year cylinder?
Hone it first and see how well it cleans up, hard to tell too much from the picture while viewed from my phone :/. Looks like the poWer valve plugs aren’t blended tho.
c12 fuel wit 4oz motul/gal
Harrison PotsworthParticipantOh, I should add, a Pen an Paper. Get into the habit of writing down all your setup notes and changes. That notepad will become the best tool you can have.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantWhat motor are you using?
Usually and extra piston kit is a good idea, and gaskets for your motor (if it has gaskets, if not, o-rings).
Fuel pump diaphragms.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantI don’t have the space to store this, MAKE ME AN OFFER AND IT’S YOURS.
Harrison PotsworthParticipantMount still for sale, make an offer.
I also have S-1/r4 Pipe & Silencer cradle with coil mount kit for sale, will fit BOTH ’99 and ’01 cylinders. Make an offer.
