    I haven’t yet. Kind of wondering why I should have to if he replies to other people within minutes.

    What are you going to do if it gets damaged?

    Cool video. I’m assuming you mounted the camera to the chin of your helmet? If so, what mount did you use and  is the extra weight on the front of the helmet annoying? Just wondering because I think that’s where I’m going to put my camera this coming season.

    Some of these replies are a little disappointing. I’ll never fault anyone for questioning the status quo and thinking of ways to make racing safer.

    Walt, thanks for your help. First thing I did tonight was take some quick measurements with the kart on the stand. Each measurement showed the right side being slightly longer than the left.. only by about an 1/8 inch on each measurement. I’m guessing this definitely means something is bent in the frame. Here’s photos of one way that I measured. I measured from the cassette bracket to the pill set screws.

    Chad, thanks for the tips. I do not have the front bar in. I loosened up the rear and front bumpers to see if that would do anything and it did not.

    Walt, I slid the snipers back and forth on the spindle shaft and the dots did not move at all, so it seems like the spindles are straight.

    Ok so I took the spindles off, unfortunately everything just fell off the kart once I did that so I couldn’t get a good look as to how the spacers were set. I put everything back together with the spacer on top of the spindle on both sides and it cut the difference in camber in half.. so that’s good. Still not even though. Last night I had a 6mm split, this morning once I put everything back together it was a 3mm split.

    BTW.. does anyone have some tips to make this process a little less painful? I’ve never done this before but it seemed like a pain in the ass to put everything back together as far as getting the holes on the spacer and spindle to line up and it was tough to push the spindle back in. I had to tap the spindle with a hammer then tap the spacers with a hammer and screw driver to get them in to place.

    Alright.. so I loosened up the kingpin and turned it a few times, tightened it back up and it didn’t seem to make much of a difference. I checked that my camber/caster pills were set the same on both sides. One thing I noticed that I thought was interesting was that the spindles seemed to be sitting at different heights on the kingpin. The right side had a gap below the spindle but the left side had a gap above it. I thought that was kind of odd and thought that might be what is effecting my camber measurement. What would cause this to happen? See pics below..

    The right side, notice gap below spindle..

    The left side, notice gap above the spindle, and no gap on the bottom..

    Seems to work fine here. Just a little styling tweak I’d like to see made is to put a background color and border around the quoted text. Just to help readability a little bit. See the example that I have below.

    The CSS code I used was..

    blockquote.d4pbbc {
    padding: 4px;
    background-color: #EBE9E9;
    border: 1px solid #D5D5D5;
    margin-bottom: 1em;
    }

    Alright.. so I tried this again after almost 24 hours away from the forum. It seemed to work fine initially but when I tried to go to the 2nd page of new posts everything went blank again. Just something to look into.

    I don’t think the new posts since last visit is working correctly. I just looked at the forum sections and some say there have been new posts less than 20 mins ago. When I go to the new posts since last visit page its blank.

    How do these tires compare to Bridgestone YLC’s or YLB’s? I’m thinking about getting some sets of these just to get some practice on if they are somewhat similar.

    I can’t quote properly.. and I’m a web developer.. not sure many people are going to figure it out. David, I know I’ve put in my fair share of complaints but I wish you’d listen at some point. I do this for a living and I know how web-users think. Nobody is going to read that FAQ. Things should just work without having to make people think. Like in the old forum, we hit quote, and the quote tags were really visible. Everyone understood how that worked because it was clear what was happening. When I hit quote on this forum nothing happens besides the quoted post getting put into the text editor. There’s no way to see exactly where to start typing. I guessed that just hitting enter to go on to the next line would work, but it didn’t.

    Posting images is also very confusing for people. People are used to the way almost all other forums work with bbCode tags. This forum is very far from the norm and doesn’t really offer any advantages to us as users of EKN. I know you love this site for the ease of use of posting news, which is awesome, WordPress is great. I’m just not sure its forum capabilities are good enough.

    This forum, for me, is just alright. I can work my way around the annoyances, but there’s no way this is an upgrade over the old forum.

    I hate to kind of bash the forum again but I’ve seen very little improvement. Simple things like links opening in new windows/tabs are still not implemented.

    I hope you don’t take offense to this and take it as real advice.

    Has anybody looked into fixing the quote button? It adds a bunch of garbage to the post, and you have to back in and delete it all, really annoying….. CR

    If you are using the ‘Text’ tab, you have to begin typing your message after it ends the blockquote bbcode, just as I did here. I’m working to add screen captures and directions for both in the FAQ section Thanks
