Cory-MilneParticipantbest kart tuning book you can get is the one you make when you go to the track and write EVERYTHING down. Everyone has a different driving style and different things work for different people. Kart tuning books only give you a general idea of what the kart might do. Also dont make a change assuming it will do the thing you want it to, feel the change.
Cory-MilneParticipantbump kart need gone
Cory-MilneParticipantbump kart still for sale
Cory-MilneParticipantbump still for sale

Cory-MilneParticipantsteve check you pm’s thanks
Cory-MilneParticipantfloat height is to lean your kart is starving of fuel on left hand turns. always run stock float height and jet around it
Cory-MilneParticipantid say California would be your best bet the most tracks geographically, and tons of quality drivers. Theres a reason I fly from colorado to california to race its because all the top drivers come from cali.
Cory-MilneParticipanti would say shift yor interests some where else although they look cool, they are hard to find in the us and parts are also hard to find in the us. It would be more beneficial to get a common chassis like CRG, or Tony Kart, I am not to sure if the US has a dealer for gold kart.

Cory-MilneParticipantjust run stock ignition timing, stock seems to give the best of both worlds in terms of top and bottom end
Cory-MilneParticipantyou can run a 99 motor with an 01 cylinder its not going to harm the motor at all
Cory-MilneParticipantkevin
my advice is go with the animal kart #1 it will fit your budget #2 there will be people to race, and practice with down the road #3 a centrifugal clutch kart will teach you a lot about how to actually drive #4 the animal kart has a lot less upkeep then a shifter kart. the centrifugal clutch karts are not only super fun to drive but they are fast too
Cory-MilneParticipantI race S1 which is the pro shifter class in Skusa and I am just getting a new 2014 chassis for the next race season. I usually use a chassis for one race then sell it to stay on a fresh chassis. There is nothing wrong with the chassis at all, its pretty much brand new, its all figured out and has all the good stuff on it. It rolls really well.
Cory-MilneParticipantDr J90 isn’t identical to the CRG, its close and you could probably bolt all the same stuff on it but, it definitely has a little bit different bends in the tubing and different side wall thickness of tubing.
Cory-MilneParticipantgreg
the black star actually works really really well as a shifter I know quite a few people who use them in the top levels of the skusa shifter bracket. I ran a black star in S1 in skusa and did very well qualifying p3 in one event and always it the top 5. I actually don’t run any castor at all and run a heavy axle with standard hubs. My kart is chassis is actually for sale on ekn right now with one race on it. Once you get the kart figured out it is cake to tune and wicked fast.
