Example from what I see at my track(and my Mychron data)
Legal World formula at Phoenix Kart (PKRA, normal sprint kart track, skusa Springnatuonals will be held here in May)
Shifter Skusa legal 44.5 seconds, top speed 86mph
world formula 51 seconds top speed 59mph
lO206 not sure about top speed but Is close to 53mph and time around 54 seconds
Alan MichelParticipantlooking at the big team names supporting this new series, I would say it was them who pushed it, not the promoter initially. big teams WANT more races. more races that drivers CANNOT miss because they are ‘national’ racers. lets be honest, most drivers(or their parents) that attend the full protour/cota/rotax nationals/etc HAVE the money to do it and the TEAMS know it. I said most, not all.
I don’t think is bad for karting, it is COMICAL, but not necessarily bad lol. also it will be good that SKUSA will have to step up their game, serious competition now.
a true national championship would be amazing. imagine that only the first 3 to 5 drivers from each club/region could attend the national series? that would make regional/club karting pretty strong! but that seems impossible nowdays in karting.

Alan MichelParticipantinteresting questions. my guesses would be…
Yes, Yes, Yes(not same handling, but probably very close in top performance when set up at optimal level)
Alan MichelParticipantThanks For the updates! Keep them coming!
Alan MichelParticipantUpdated
Alan MichelParticipant<p style=”text-align: right;”>99-02 are allowed. . 99% (except S5 class) of Skusa racers use the 01′ cylinder now.</p>

mmmm Jordon Lennox raced Saturday and won. Didn’t race Sunday.
I sure hope a local driver wins it this weekend, but I doubt it.

Look at rotax. most of North American drivers go crazy and spend a bundle trying to win a ticket to the rotax worlds, and then what?. [/quote]
Did you watch the last ROTAX WORLD FINALS EVENT? Juan Manuel Correa 1st place.
Joey Wimsett 2nd place.
Alan Rudolph dominated the entire event, should have won easily.
But I guess you didn’t watch.
anyway… I do think the Europeans will be upfront, their skill level in chassis set up should be superior. I guess we just have to wait 6 days to find out where our S1 guys stand.
Can’t wait to watch this!
Alan MichelParticipant.
Alan MichelParticipantCool! why doesnt SKUSA implement something like this for their series??
Alan MichelParticipantMore Europeans coming to compete in S1 at SpringNats? ??
I only knew about Fore.
it would be great!
Alan MichelParticipantI used uship.com with great results.
It’s an auction site, like ebay, shippers will bid on your product.
I shipped you for aprox $300, 1500 miles. Door to door, insured, all in one piece.
good luck
Alan MichelParticipantand some may be blocked at the moment. I wasnt able to post anythign or reply for a while until I wrote ekartingnews about it this week.
reason: I needed to change my profile name to show both First and Last name. Funy thing… I had already done done months ago, but account was still blocked.
that MIGTH be another reason… not sure.
Alan MichelParticipant$390
Alan MichelParticipantBuy it. you won’t regret it.
Battery: as Ray said.. not a big deal. One 9V lasts me around 9-12 sessions. I used one batterty for the first 3 days of Supernats, one for the last 2 just to be safe :)
October 31, 2013 at 2:33 pm in reply to: Its THAT time of year again. VEGAS BABY!!! I've got SuperNats Fever!! #14417Alan MichelParticipantSame feeling here.
been there 4 yrs as spectator, will be racing this year. :) cant wait!
Alan MichelParticipantI’d go with 125cc, I havent seen any 80cc in years…
try to stay within 5 yrs for chassis, easier to find parts needed, and the prices on chassis drop drastically after 1-2 yrs of use.
good luck.
Alan MichelParticipantPM sent
Alan MichelParticipantsent email and PM
Alan MichelParticipantI didnt have to, but I did wrapt it in plastic as I did not what to expect. every shipper wil be diferent, so ask them what they use (truck, trailer, etc) to move the items.
The website is like ebay, shippers(mostly independent shippers) bid to earn your business. Make sure you select one with good feedback. Mine had 40 reviews, all positive, he provided his license, bond, insured, everything pretty legit.
good luck.
Alan MichelParticipantrecently sold shifter kart. I used http://www.uship.com to get a bid, paid aprox $300.
an private shipping agent picked it up in his truck and delivered it same day 700 miles away.
I would stay away from regular shipping compnaies if you want to ship the kart RACE READY.
Alan MichelParticipantDavid, coupublish post the entire qualy results not only top 10?
there is no other way to know them, thanks
Alan MichelParticipantThanks David, keep the updates coming.
really missing Race Monitor….
