      Robert,

I have 3 used Rotax Pipe mounts that only attach to the engine side of the frame, which prevents the pipe from bending – in case your pipe attaches to both sides of the frame.  I’ve seen many welds around this spot due to this problem, not sure if Rotax legal or not.  If you want a mount, $50 plus shipping, they sell for $120.  We sold all our Rotax motors.

      Thanks

      Brian

to the best of my knowledge, it’s legal to weld up cracks in a Rotax pipe. But I’d toss this one because it appears from the photo that you can’t get completely to both end of the crack.

Yes, it’s legal to weld. If it’s a special pipe, go ahead and have it fixed, otherwise run-of-the-mill used pipes are cheap and easy to find. The new Evo pipes are nice and very equal performance-wise (vs. the high variablity in older pipes).
