Clutch stuck on kt100

      First suggestion would be to call Comet. Can’t see how the key would fall off if you can’t get the starter nut off. Using the Comet clutch tool, secure the clutch and use an impact wrench to loosen the starter nut. Next use the puller.         I think one problem might be that the thread  on the crankshaft is messed up. But what I think I am going to do is go to comet or send my engine and get the pto shaft replaced.

      If the starter nut is still on how do you know the key is missing?

      Look for a local kart shop to help you out. The clutch will not fall off on its own. It requires special tools.

      Thank you everyone. I finally got my starter nut off. The crankshaft thread was in really bad condition. And I imagine that the the starter nut couldn’t get off because off how messed up the thread was. Now I just need to send my engine somewhere to get my new crankshaft installed.

      If that’s the problem all you need is the PTO half.
