After a very successful 2015 season opener at the Perris Raceway three weeks ago, the So Cal Oval Karters will contest round #2 of their championship season this Saturday, April 11, at John Aden’s Wheel 2 Wheel Raceway in Victorville.  Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and racing will start at 6:00.  Joining the So Cal Oval Karters will be the tracks resident Speedway Sprint & Dirt Kart classes.

A stellar field of 38 karts and a large crowd showed up for the Riverside County season opener on March 21^st.  SCOK officials are hoping for the same this Saturday on the High Desert 1/8 of a mile, banked, dirt oval.  SCOK classes competing this Saturday will include the Opens, KT100’s, F200’s, Senior 4 Cycles and Junior Junior Karters.  Matt Martis of Bonita who swept the SR 4 Cycle class, Long Beach resident Matt Drotz, who bested the F200’s, and KT100 winner Rev Parker are all expected to be racing on Saturday.  The odds should be wide open in the Open Class as Perris winner Darren Elliott is not expected to be in action this Saturday.

All of the So Cal Oval Karter drivers will get two heats and a 20 lap main in their portion of the show on Saturday.

Racing on the corner of the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds where Wheel 2 Wheel Raceway currently sits began 30-years ago this July.  Originally known as Speedway USA, the track became home to Speedway Motorcycle racing on the High Desert and had several different promoters before Aden took over and re-configured the track several years ago.  Many drivers who began their careers at Wheel 2 Wheel have now progressed to other series and attending fans are sure to see some stars of the future this Saturday.

The So Cal Oval Karters get one weekend off after Saturday’s race in Victorville, but they will be back on the track for round #3 of the 2015 season on April 25^th at the Perris Raceway.
