Multiple Championships for AJ Myers as He Prepares for KZ2 Debut in Europe
PCR pilot continues to add to his resume before competing in CIK European Championship
In what could be classified as a banner twelve months, AJ Myers isn’t slowing down as he closes the first quarter of the 2015 karting season. Fresh off a pair of championships and invitations to the IAME International Final and ROK International Final later this year, Myers is set to make his KZ2 European debut with the Factory PCR squad at the CIK European Championship.
“It has been a great year to date,” explained Myers. “We are building off of last year’s success and I have major goals set for 2015 and beyond. I can’t thank PCR, Checkered Motorsports and Performance Motorsports enough for their help and continued support.”
In the past three months, Myers has been a fixture at the front of popular winter series programs in the United States. Competing in the IAME Senior class at the inaugural Florida Pro Kart Series winter program, Myers secured the overall series championship and invite to the IAME International Final in France later this season. Less than two weeks later, the PCR driver managed to claim the Vortex ROK Shifter title at the Cold Stone Florida Winter Tour and accompanying invite to be a member of Team USA at the ROK International Final in Italy later this year.
Myers added, “The Florida Winter Tour was a tough series for us as we seemed to have engine issues each and every weekend. Overcoming them with hard work, I was able to gain enough points to claim the championship and I cannot wait to represent Team USA at the ROK Finals later this year.”
Building off his success from 2014 where Myers managed to claim the United States Pro Kart Series IAME Senior championship, ROK Cup USA ROK Shifter title, Florida Pro Kart Series IAME Senior championship as well as a fifth place result in the KZ class at the annual Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals, Myers will now make his KZ2 European karting debut as part of the Factory PCR team at the CIK/FIA European Championships. Turning heads at the 2014 Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals that saw Myers go wheel-to-wheel with some of the world’s best gearbox drivers, the Floridian held his own and proved that he is a major force in both the shifterkart and TaG platforms.
AJ Myers would like to thank Checkered Motorsports, PCR Chassis and Performance Motorsports for their continued support.
