Let me know how your cracked sternum feels if you ever hit something hard and your chest hits the steering wheel hard.  So yes you should wear a chest protector.

I’ve seen many pics of national-level and national races, and they aren’t even wearing neck braces.

I once pulled out of a race on the pace lap because a strap broke on my neck brace (360 device). And I was on the front row (for a change).

That said, I’ve always worn rib protection racing TAG, but don’t wear one in Yamaha at my home track.

So it sounds like chest protection is a good idea. Which brand do you guys recommend for chest protectors? I am interested in the freem Brave rib protector in conjunction with their Rhino chest protector. Does anybody have any experience with freem?

If you’re wondering about wearing a chest protector of some kind, watch this… pay attention to what the driver’s body goes through.
