      I, too, would like to know more about this motor package. Looks like an HPV with a different carburetor.

      It looks similar, but not a copy for sure.

      The HPV/KPV/K71 was a piston port engine.

      The Horstman website says this is a reed valve engine, which I see a spot for the reeds behind the carb, just different to have it in the cylinder and not the bottom end of the engine.

      Perhaps “just enough” mods to avoid patent / trademark issues?  Curious to hear about its’ performance…Pricepoint seems good, if it’s as consistent as the KPV….

      I think that is one of the PRD engines from Taiwan.

      There’s some similarities, but definitely different models, even if they happen to be of the same family.  And I’m glad that Horstman’s doesn’t have electric start…
