The new 2015 FKCS President, Michael Sachs stated “The all-new 2015 Florida Karting Championship Series is erupting with excitement”.  The series will see an improved race format, increased awards and an emphasis on a fun family environment.

The improved race format will include a substantial increase in track time for all the racers. The familiar 2-day format will be enhanced to provide awards for a race weekend combined winner for each class.  This provides more opportunities for individual awards and recognition.  In addition, this provides increased flexibility to the racers and their families.

While we all value and enjoy our year-end awards, our new program offers more exciting race day awards with greater driver recognition. Additional recognition will be provided for our racers on the new and improved FKCS website through our Driver Bio’s page.

Our board has been infused with several new members that were previous racers and winners.  This allows us the advantage of providing experience from a racers perspective for an improved racing experience and fresh ideals that will benefit us all.

In addition to the already noted improvements, the FKCS has partnered with Vega USA to provide improved tire performance and add track side support at all FKCS races. An announcement with tire details is forth coming.

The FKCS has developed some of the best Karter’s in the US. FKCS racers have competed within the US as well as international events, and have multiple championships to their credit.  This has proven to be a solid platform for advancement and driver development to professional racing. The FKCS is truly the grass roots home for the Florida Karter. We currently are finalizing our schedule for the 2015 race season, which includes, Palm Beach International Raceway, Ocala Grand Prix, Orlando Kart Center, and have already confirmed the May 22nd through 24th race weekend at Monticello Karting. Our final schedule announcement is expected within the next few weeks.

Florida Karting Championship Series (FKCS) is an official WKA Regional Series offering transfer points toward National Championships.
