Now into its second season, the Texas ProKart Challenge regional series – presented by 3G Kart Racing/Burger King®/Fernelius Alvarez Attorneys/Dallas Karting Complex is projecting a record breaking season. Expanding out from the Lone Star state to include events in Oklahoma and Louisiana, the 2013 series will feel more like a regional program welcoming racers from multiple area states. The TPKC, an official Superkarts! USA regional series and includes the Burger King Rotax Max Challenge series as part of the United States Rotax Max Challenge, will open up at the Dallas Karting Complex on May 3-5 with roughly $25,000 in prizes set to be awarded on the season.

“The Texas ProKart Challenge and Burger King Rotax Max Challenge team has been working hard to provide the racers in the region with the best racing experience possible,” commented Dave Pauly, leader of the new administration team. “Partnering up with the Superkarts! USA and United States Rotax Max Challenge programs solidify our program, and create the ladder system within the sport to grow racers from the local level, to our series and then on to the national scene. Our racers have proven that last year and already in 2013. We are focused on provided more time on track for each and every racer, along with a great atmosphere for the family, and our Series Loyalty Program gives back to those who support us. We anticipate the 2013 season to be a great year.”

The $25,000 prize package for the 2013 season of the Texas ProKart Challenge is among the highest in regional competition around the country. Highlighting the prizes will be paid entries to the 2013 Superkarts! USA SuperNationals and the 2013 United States Rotax Grand Nationals for class champions.

Those competitors who are part of the SKUSA ProKart Challenge categories will have a chance to race for a regional title, and earn a paid entry in their class to compete at the SuperNats this November (class must average six drivers on the season). Drivers who earn the series championship, will also be granted the Guaranteed Starting Position at the SuperNationals, with all competitors who are part of the TPKC series included in the SuperNationals Priority Entry program for the Las Vegas event.

Competitors who race in the Burger King Rotax Max Challenge program that is part of the series will be battling for a free entry to the 2013 US Rotax Grand Nationals (class must average six drivers on the season). The driver who earns a Rotax championship in the series will be reimbursed their entry fee for the Mooresville Motorplex event in August. Should a champion driver not compete at the US Rotax Grand Nationals, they will be awarded a free Texas ProKat Challenge Value Package. The TPKC series finale at NOLA Motorsports Park in October will also serve as a great warm-up weekend, prior to the Rotax Pan American Challenge, which will be the final chance for drivers to earn tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals in November. Mini Max and Micro Max drivers in the Burger King Rotax Max Challenge will also be competing for tickets to be part of the Rotax Grand Finals event, as part of the Micro & Mini Max Invitational race.

As any driver and/or team will tell you, racing is not cheap. Texas ProKart Challenge officials are well aware of this fact and have launched the ‘Series Loyalty Program.’ In an effort to keep the costs of regional racing down, they will be offering pre-entry discounts. Racers who register for the entire series in advance will save 15% ($150) if you register for all five weekends.

The opening round of the Texas ProKart Challenge is scheduled for May 3-5 at the Dallas Karting Complex in Caddo Mills, Texas. Built in 2011, the facility is among the top in North America in regards to amenities and course design. Online registration prior to the event will remain open until midnight, April 28. Currently, the price to enter the two rounds – including a driver pass, five gallons of fuel and one liter of oil – is available for $285. Fees will increase for at-track registration. Racer as asked to ensure they fill out their Superkarts! USA or US Rotax Max Challenge membership forms if their membership has not yet been renewed for the 2013 season. Premium pit spaces will be available on the weekend, and competitors are asked to contact Dallas Karting Complex at 214-458-1500. The Dallas Karting Complex has also announced a team endurance race Friday evening, May 3. The ‘DKC 75’ will be eligible for all attendees to compete in a 75-lap event, capped at 20 teams of 3-4 drivers. For more information, contact the facility directly at 903-527-5278.

Texas ProKart Challenge would like to remind those considering racing in the TaG Cadet category that four engines still remain in the Superkarts! USA Purchase Program. Racers who commit to running the entire TPKC series and purchase a ‘Series Loyalty Package’ will receive the Vortex Mini Rok engine at a discounted price of $1,550. The SKUSA Pro Tour welcomed over 30 drivers at the SpringNationals recently, with the numbers in the Texas ProKart Challenge expected to near 15-20.
