  I’m thinking it would work kind of like the front torsion bar. The more you tighten the jam nuts it acts like making the waiste of the kart wider (less flex) am I way off? If it works you could adapt this to any kart pretty easily.

  Can’t see that rod acting as a torque tube. It has a heim joint on both ends. Guessing that it could only be keeping the distance between the front tab and the rear tab at the same distance. Maybe it’s designed to keep the rear end of the kart alinged with the front during hard acceleration out of a corner.

  I couldn’t tell if that’s actually a heim or looks like one? Do you think that a chassis can torque enough to miss align from and rear alignment?

  The front connection looks like a Heim joint, but the rear is maybe some kind of compressible thing. So if that’s the case, it’s tuning the front flex…I think. Like making the tubing stiffer in the waist area. Or something :-)

  Let’s see. Most karters lament that karts are getting overly complicated. For the most part, I agree. So, regardless of whether or not it works, I’d rather not see it gain wide acceptance.

  Two tie rods and handle to tighten them is complicated? If it’s effective, sounds like one the easiest adjustments you can make….

  Might help under heavy braking if you have front brakes. It would also help the front not to flex back only up and down. Weather that helps anything I don’t know. With two joints it could be said to be a moveable chassis component. Might need them on the rear axle with a bearing on one end lol.

  They both look like Heims to me… There would be very little deflection rigidity on a 12mm aluminum rod… What happens when a corner is deflected upward, the distance from that rear point is increased. That handle at the back has a set screw at the top. It looks like they can limit the amount each corner deflects with that adjustment. It’s working like the front torsion bar, but can be micro tuned…..
