On the occasion of the fourth round of the FIA Karting European Championship in Kristianstad (Sweden), the “engine division” of OTK Kart Group leads the final of  OKJ class and finishes close to the podium in OK.

OKJ – The Vortex VTJ brought the 2026 edition of the FIA Karting European Championship to a perfect close. In the fourth and final round at Kristianstad, Sweden, the engine from OTK Kart Group’s ‘engine division’ secured one victory, three third-place finishes and a fastest lap during the qualifying heats, further adding to its tally with second place in Super Heat B on Sunday morning.

The final saw Emerson MacAndrew-Uren (Tony Kart Racing Team) take centre stage: starting from second on the outside of the grid, the British driver took control of the race immediately after the start and quickly built up a significant lead over his rivals. After carefully managing the race in the early stages, he extended his lead in the closing laps, crossing the finish line unchallenged under the chequered flag.

Julian Frasnelli (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Stepan Mazepin (Tony Kart Racing Team) also made their mark in the weekend’s final race. The Italian got off to a brilliant start, gaining 15 places on the very first lap, and went on to challenge for the podium, missing out by just 0.091 seconds after a 29-place comeback. His team-mate, meanwhile, made up 21 places and finished just outside the top 10.

OK – In the ‘Senior’ class, the Vortex VTS got the weekend off to a good start with the third-fastest time in Group 2 and went on to secure five third-place finishes in the qualifying heats and a third-place finish in Super Heat A as well. The provisional standings ahead of the final saw Ilie Tristan Crisan (Tony Kart Racing Team) in fourth place.

In the final race, starting from the second row, Crisan skilfully moved up to second place on the very first lap and remained the leader’s main challenger for a long time. The Canadian was in contention for a podium finish right up until the chequered flag.

As in the previous round at Mülsen, Valerio Viapiana (Tony Kart Racing Team) made his mark with a 20-place comeback that saw him finish just outside the top 10. Thomas Pradier (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Gilles Herman (Tony Kart Racing Team) also lined up on the grid for the final.

Academy-Senior – The third and final round in Sweden also marks the conclusion of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy-Senior, the series organised by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), in which OTK Kart Group is responsible for supplying Exprit Kart chassis and Vortex Engines to all participants. In Sunday’s final, victory went to Albert Lapper (United Kingdom), ahead of Liam Carr (Australia) in second place and Konsta Sipilä (Finland) in third. This win also saw the British driver clinch the ‘Senior’ category title, other than the right to attend the FIA Karting World Cup OK-N with one of the OTK racing teams.
