Fun…that’s the reason that many in the karting community are a part of the sport. It’s the thrill and excitement of bring on the track paired with meeting new people and enjoying dinner and drinks with fellow competitors and family off the track. At the national level, many are locked in on performance with a laser focus, not seeing the bigger picture of spending time with family and friends. A new program is seeking to help build a new atmosphere and culture within the karting community, while helping guide future karters up the ladder system at the same time.

What began as a fun joke has now turned into an effort to help bring together the karting community through the F.A.R.T. program. ‘Fake Alliance Racing Team’ was formed between the recent bonding moments for Brandon Jarsocrak Racing and MPG Motorsports. BJR has been based out of Trackhouse Motorplex for some time and MPG made the move there at the start of the 2026 season. Spending time together, not only during race weekends but also through testing days, have led to this unique partnership.

The F.A.R.T. Board of Directors includes BJR owner Brandon Jarsocrak, BJR driver Pauly Massimino, along with MPG owners Billy Vincent and Chase Jones. The bond not only began off the track but strangely enough at the SKUSA Pro Tour WinterNationals when MPG driver Joe Turney and Massimino went 1-2 in the Pro X30 main event on Saturday. The bond between the two operations is one of respect and looking to help one another when needed.

Speaking with the F.A.R.T. board, their goal is to show new and current competitors and families within the sport that the culture and atmosphere does not have to be cutthroat. Vincent, a veteran in the IndyCar paddock who has worked with multiple teams in his tenure, is very passionate about helping karters understand the sport can be fun and competitive at the same time. He has seen first-hand how at the top level of motorsports, lending a helping hand or working together takes place. The goal for F.A.R.T. is to show that at the karting level with teams and drivers working together in and out of the tents.

The first showing of F.A.R.T. was when Apex Apparel came up with hats and shirts to wear, celebrating the new alliance focused on fun and togetherness. The apparel forged an idea from Chase Jones of MPG to establish a scholarship program by selling the merchandise to the karting community.

The F.A.R.T. Scholarship was created to help a grassroots racer compete for the first time at a major event with support from MPG Motorsports and Brandon Jarsocark Racing. The scholarship will come from profits for the sale of the F.A.R.T. apparel through Apex Apparel and donations will also be accepted.

The goal with the F.A.R.T. Scholarship is to support a grassroots racer at the Stars Championship Series Night Fight event at the Trackhouse Motorplex in North Carolina. The driver selected will have the option for a full arrive and drive package with either MPG or BJR for the September 10-12 weekend. Depending on the driver’s age, the package will be for either KA Stars or KA Junior. Engine support will be from BBS Race Engines with either team. The kart will be fitted with custom F.A.R.T. graphics from DB Motorsports. Stars organization will provide a full entry for the driver selected to the F.A.R.T. Scholarship.

Vincent told EKN they are looking for a driver who has no national experience and is coming from the club level of the sport. They are hoping that this program can grow, to expand the awareness of guiding new and aspiring karters up the internal ladder system with a goal of building something larger in 2027.
