Briggs & Stratton Racing Announced Spark Plug Update
The following is a statement released by Briggs & Stratton Racing on July 10, 2026 regarding the update of spark plug allowed for competition with the Briggs 206 powerplant.
Back in March, we shared that our engineering team was deep into testing replacements for the discontinued Autolite AR3910X spark plug. Today, we have great news: testing and validation are officially complete!
After rigorous evaluation to ensure the safety and reliability you expect from Briggs Racing, we are excited to announce that we will be transitioning to Brisk Spark Plug DR15ZC as our new single supplier.
As we mentioned in our last update, maintaining a completely level playing field is our top priority, which is why we will be doing a direct transition rather than allowing overlapping plug models.
We are currently finalizing the exact release date and transition timeline, and we will share those details with you as soon as they are locked in. In the meantime, additional Autolite AR3910X spark plugs will be released from our inventory into the service network shortly. This should help alleviate some of the current unavailability issues.
Thank you again for your patience and support while we took the necessary time to get this right. We are making great progress and look forward to sharing the final timeline with you soon!
