Our Racing Team is facing the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Spain, on the same track that, less than a week later, will host the FIA Karting European Championship OK-OKJ.

After having achieved the second round of the WSK Euro Series with a victory in OK-N and the opening round of the ACI Italian Karting Championship with a win in MINI Gr.3, the Tony Kart Racing Team goes back on track for the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Valencia (Spain), on the same circuit that will host the next round of the FIA Karting European Championship OK-OKJ. As always, the technical setup is given to the Tony Kart Racer 401 T, powered by Vortex engines, the “engine division” of the OTK Kart Group.

In OKJ, fresh of a victory on the occasion of the first round in Muro Leccese last April, Julian Frasnelli proves to be competitive throughout the weekend. The Italian driver is the fastest in his free practice session on Thursday morning and sets the fifth-fastest time in Group 1 of the qualifying. In the heats, he finishes third, while in Super Heat B on Saturday morning, he sets the second place. In the final, Frasnelli immediately joins the leading group in the early stages of the race and crosses the finish line in the top 10. In the championship standings, our driver is in second place with 133 points.

Emerson MacAndrew-Uren, at his third appearance in our official colors, is back on the starting grid for the final after finishing second in Heat D-F. Oiva Vettenranta, Antonio Ianni, Stepan Mazepin, Augustin Feligioni, Jean Poujol, and Yubo Wen—all at their first approach with the Valencia circuit—are performing well ahead of the next round of the FIA Karting European Championship.

In OK, Jindřich Pešl- author of the pole position in the opening round at Muro Leccese—opens the weekend with the second-fastest time in his qualifying group. However, a stop in the qualifying heats compromises the Czech driver’s race, affecting his starting grid position for the final and the subsequent race result. Among our drivers best placed at the start of the final we find Ilie Tristan Crisan, thanks to the many wins in the qualifying heats which include a victory in Heat A-F, achieved after climbing ten positions: his race, however, ends prematurely in the early stages.

Endo Arata, winner of Heat B-E after a remarkable 21-place comeback, will also be on the starting grid for the final. Thomas Pradier is signing some promising lap times, while Gilles Herman, Gabriel Canal, Valerio Viapiana, and Gabin Adam continue to work alongside our staff in view of the upcoming events on the calendar.

The Tony Kart Racing Team will remain in Spain to attend the second round of the FIA Karting European Championship for the OK and OKJ categories (May 7–10).
