IAME HQ Expansion Unveiled
New spaces dedicated to institutional and operational areas, with a strong focus on the Racing Department, support the continued growth of the IAME brand
IAME, the historic Italian kart engine manufacturer, has unveiled the first images of the new areas of its headquarters, currently under construction. The expansion will allow the Zingonia facility to incorporate new spaces dedicated to institutional and customer relations, production departments, offices and, in particular, Racing Department activities. Thanks to the new works, the Racing Department will further enhance its capacity to manage racing engines for an ever-growing customer base worldwide. The transition from the current facilities to the new ones will make it possible to double IAME’s engine management capacity, within a framework that already sees the Italian brand handling more than 150 units per race weekend.
The building, entirely newly constructed and already under development, will rise alongside the existing IAME facilities and will be directly connected to them, ensuring a significant upgrade from both an operational and architectural standpoint.
Great attention has been paid to every detail: from the layout of operational and institutional areas to the selection of materials, with extensive use of glass, wood and eco-sustainable solutions. The entire project follows the distinctive philosophy of the Korus Group, of which IAME is part: providing top talents with the best possible corporate environments in which to express themselves, while maintaining a constant balance between production performance and employee well-being.
Among the main beneficiaries of the new spaces will be the Racing Department, which will be able to rely on layouts specifically designed for intensive maintenance and logistics activities, two new dyno rooms, and a top-level technical and technological setup. This will ensure the highest level of service for customers worldwide, delivered directly by the manufacturer.
Scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, the new facility represents not only a major step forward in innovation and a milestone in IAME’s history, but also positions itself as a key reference point for the global karting industry and the broader Italian mechanical engineering landscape. This role is further strengthened by the strategic location of the IAME headquarters, situated in one of the country’s most important industrial areas, along major transport routes and at the heart of one of the world’s highest-density regions of top-level karting circuits.
“The IAME HQ is the facility where more than 6,000 engines are produced every year, enabling drivers around the world to compete and build their foundational racing experience,” said Filippo Fagnani on behalf of IAME. “For this reason, it is essential for us to invest continuously in its improvement, so that the benefits extend not only to production processes, but above all to the people who work here. We are also confident that the chosen architectural style will make our HQ unique and distinctive, further enhancing a territory already rich in excellence-driven brands.”
“Investing in the improvement of the facilities of each Group company is one of the pillars of Korus’ corporate culture,” said Giovanni Delfino, CEO of the Korus Group. “Since the Group’s foundation, the well-being of the women and men who bring our products to life has been one of the areas receiving the greatest attention and the highest level of resources. The expansion of the IAME HQ fully aligns with this vision, and we are confident it will deliver not only an overall improvement in company processes, but also new benefits in relationships with customers and with institutions across the karting world and the national and international industrial landscape.”
With 60 World Championships, constant international victories and a history of drivers who went on to become World Champions after building their experience with IAME engines, IAME stands as one of the leading brands in the global karting landscape. Tradition and innovation come together in the development of high-performance engines for karting categories worldwide. IAME also plays a key role in sporting promotion through more than 30 national and international series it organizes, further strengthening its long-standing commitment to the growth of young motorsport talents.
