Series Preview: CKNA North Set for Three-Event Season
G&J, Road America, and Norway to host events in 2026
Cup Karts North America is well known for their extremely well-attended national events, like the season-ending Grand Nationals at New Castle Motorsports Park. The foundation of the sport and CKNA as well, is based at the club and regional level. Cup Karts North America has four divisional series under its banner: North, South, East, and Canada. The CKNA North program is now a three-weekend program this season, taking drivers and teams to Ohio, Wisconsin, and Illinois in 2026. The North series is the flagship program, where is all started over a decade ago.

The North program kicks off on May 1-3 at the iconic G&J Kartway in Camden, Ohio. The facility has welcomed CKNA multiple times, always with big fields. 2026 should be no different with the club bringing in over 100 entries at each of its two opening events for the OVKA program, including over 30 in 206 Senior.
On the June 12-14 weekend, the drivers head to the iconic Road America facility – America’s National Park of Speed – and the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex. The Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin karting circuit is a driver’s favorite nestled inside the famed road course with its big elevation changes and challenging surface.
The CKNA North series final will be run at the rejuvenated Norway Motorsports Park in Sheridan, IL on the August 21-23 weekend. The northern Illinois circuit was part of the inaugural 2015 CKNA North program – or known as ‘206 Cup’ when it launched. Under new ownership, NMP is helping to revive grassroots racing in the region and is the perfect site for the CKNA North finale in 2026.
Reviewing last year’s champions, Cale Zimmermann (Senior Medium), Ryan Cassity (Masters / Legends), and Sam Tutwiler (Junior) helped the CKNA North division claim four wins at the CKNA Grand Nationals 9 at the end of 2025. This show’s the talent you can compete against each weekend at the CKNA North championship.
Registration is currently open for the CKNA North season opener at G&J Kartway in Camden, Ohio, available through the CKNA Race Select page. Full details surround Cup Karts North America can be found at cupkarts.com.
