A new official partnership between EKN and Cup Karts North America will provide the organization and its racers with increased communication and exposure

Over the past 10 years, Cup Karts North America has become the leading four-cycle Briggs 206 racing program in the United States and Canada. The organization’s annual Grand Nationals is now among the biggest events of the year and is considered in the elite category alongside the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals. The program’s national events continue to attract massive grids and their divisional series allow club racers to experience their proven format and family-focused approach. As we begin the second quarter of the 2026 season, eKartingNews.com is thrilled to announce a new official media partnership with Cup Karts North America, one that is aimed at providing the program with increased exposure, race coverage, and promotion.

“It goes without saying that David (Cole) and I are big supporters of the Briggs 206 program, and specifically Cup Karts North America,” enthused Rob Howden, EKN Publisher and Editor-in-Chief. “We’ve both competed in the CKNA Grand Nationals on many occasions and plan to be back in 2026. In its early days, the program brought much-needed stability and focus for the Briggs 206 platform, and their national events and divisional series have returned four-cycle racing to the spotlight, as it was many years ago. CKNA has brought a constant force to four-cycle racing in the US and the results show. We’re excited to have forged this new partnership to aid in communication and exposure, and to be able to tell more stories from the CKNA community.”

The new association will feature enhanced editorial coverage for CKNA, including official communication from the series, human interest stories, a podcast series, and race reports from both national and divisional competition. With this new partnership, EKN will work closely with series owner Greg Jasperson, as well as Bret Spaude (CKNA South) and Gerald Caseley (CKNA Canada).

“Over the years, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to focus on the things you’re good at and find people to help you with the things you’re not,” commented Jasperson on the new partnership. “CKNA has a proven program that hosts family friendly 4-cycle events all over North America. What we don’t do as well as we should is talking to the racing community about the great things going on within CKNA or telling the stories about the amazing accomplishments that CKNA racers achieve throughout the year.

“Our drivers range in ages from 5 to 80, and we want an easy way to communicate with all of them. And not just to the drivers. The families, friends and fans of our racers want to hear about the great successes their drivers have each weekend at our events. This is why partnering with EKN makes so much sense. Their reach and knowledge on all the various social media platforms, combined with their print and live broadcasting skills give us all the tools needed to really connect with the racing community. EKN has been a part of the CKNA story for quite a long time, and we are excited to see how this marketing partnership will elevate the series and what we can offer our racers.”

CKNA South manager Bret Spaude echoes this sentiment, as his series visits Music City Kartplex in Tennessee for the first time later this month. “What a perfect pairing. Cup Karts Canada is primed to hit the ground running north of the border in May to begin their 2026 schedule with over 200 entries already confirmed for their new Canadian Four-Cycle Nationals in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. Promoter Gerald Caseley is 100% on-board with this new association between CKNA and EKN.
