A new partnership has been formed for the 2026 season and beyond between the Texas Sprint Racing Series and T4 Series USA. Beginning with the TSRS opening event scheduled for March 13-15 at the Speedsportz Racing Park in New Caney, Texas, the T4 Senior division will be offered as part of their championship categories.
The T4 Senior category features a spec package, including the Tillotson T4 chassis and the Tillotson TPP225RS four-cycle engine, utilized around the world in official Tillotson T4 programs. The category will utilize T4 global regulations with Texas Sprint Racing Series supplemental regulations – to be released shortly.
“This is an excited new package we are adding to our championship,” stated Brittany Lobaugh of the Texas Sprint Racing Series. “The opportunity to send one of our drivers to an international event while providing some great racing was part of the incentive to putting this new partnership with Tillotson and T4 Series USA. This spec category is another way for our Senior drivers to get more track time by competing in another class, and our teams to welcome in T4 racers looking for a regional championship to compete in.”
The driver leading the Texas Sprint Racing Series championship in T4 Senior after the fourth round contested at KartMoto facility will be awarded the ticket and voucher to compete at the T4 Nations Cup, scheduled for September 30 to October 4 at the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Valencia, Spain. The ticket and voucher – worth 2500 euro – include kart and engine rental, driver entry, race tires, race fuel, pit spot, and kart trolley. The TSRS overall champion for 2026 in T4 Senior earns a ticket to compete at the T4 Nations Cup in 2027. Second place in the standings after the five round championship will earn a 1000 euro voucher off of registration to the 2027 T4 Nations Cup.
The addition of T4 Senior to the Texas Sprint Racing Series will be the start of the long term partnership with T4 Series USA and Tillotson. For 2027, T4 Junior and T4 Masters/Heavy categories will be added to the championship program.
“On behalf of T4 Series USA, I couldn’t be more excited and more proud to see Texas Sprint Racing Series, the most important karting championship in the state of Texas, officially welcome the T4 class into its program,” added Jake Mottaz, T4 Series USA Director. “What we are witnessing today is not just the growth of a series — it is the evolution of the sport itself. The expansion of T4 across the United States is proof that karting thrives when everyone competes under the same conditions, when talent rises above budget, and when professional-level racing becomes truly accessible.”
“Texas has always been known for producing some of the strongest, most competitive racers in the country. It’s a state built on grit, speed, and racing culture. Bringing T4 into TSRS creates the perfect environment for that talent to shine, in a platform that rewards driving ability, discipline, and racecraft — not financial advantage. This moment represents the beginning of a new era for karting in Texas. A future where young drivers, families, and teams can dream bigger, race harder, and do it in a way that is sustainable, fair, and professional. I have no doubt we will see an incredible level of competition, unforgettable races, and the rise of new champions.”
The introduction of the T4 Senior category comes with a 2026 Tillotson T4 kart purchase incentive. Competitors who register for the Texas Sprint Racing Series Season Package – which includes entry to all five series events, hard card, and number reservation – will be provided an $850 discount on a new T4 Series Kart Package. The discounted $6,000 package includes complete chassis and engine to begin racing at the opening round of the TSRS at Speedsportz. For more information on the purchase of a T4 Series Kart Package, email info@texassprintseries.com. Also for the opening round in March will be full Arrive and Drive T4 Senior kart rentals. The package is priced at $1,500 for chassis and engine rental with mechanic and team support available on request. Contact sales@kartrising.com for further rental details.
The Texas Sprint Racing Series Season Package sale has now been extended by two weeks, and will now close on January 29, which is open to all competitors in all categories.
This new partnership has led to the creation of T4 Texas, which will serve as company to support T4 racers in the state of Texas. Lobaugh will work with clubs throughout the Lone Star State to introduce the T4 karting package along with support competitors with karts, engines and parts.
