In a continued effort to highlight the many outstanding performances by drivers around the country, eKartingNews.com is proud to introduce the ‘Driver of the Month’ program. Each month, the staff at EKN will determine the one driver who stood out above the rest and give the viewers a chance to know exactly what they accomplished and who they are.

The month of November is one of the biggest for the sport of karting here in North America. Two of the most prestigious and largest events of the year take place during the 11th month, both of which are held in Las Vegas. For the millions of visitors to the city in the desert, the goal is to ‘double up’ when leaving. For karters, it’s about winning both the ROK Vegas and Superkarts! USA SuperNationals. For only the second time since 2018, Maxwell Macha left Vegas as the winner at both events in the Mini category. And for a second time, Macha won both ROK Vegas and SuperNationals in the same year.

The first of the two events took the Parolin Motorsport USA driver Macha to the Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas for the 2025 ROK Vegas event, held on October 28-November 2. Macha put in the third best lap of the qualifying session in a field of 23 drivers, only 41 thousandths off the quickest time. Macha went to work in the heat races, taking the opening moto win by 1.5 seconds. He followed it up with a wire-to-wire win in Heat Two. Saturday’s action began with a green-to-checkered win in the third heat race. The final heat race was a battle with Santiago Orioli and Asher Pavan. Macha was able to come through with the win to sweep the four rounds of heat races.

Sunday was the 16-lap main event with Macha completing the sweep of the wheel-to-wheel action in ROK Mini. Macha led from the drop of the green flag and was trailed by Asher Pavan and Lawrence Peremen. By the time Peremen was around Pavan for position, Macha had established a sizeable lead. Maxwell ran uncontested to the checkered flag, winning by seven tenths to claim his first ROK Mini victory, joining his ROK Micro triumph from 2023.

Just a week later, Macha returned to Las Vegas to contest the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals 28 outside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 12-16. Macha was part of the 46-driver field racing in the afternoon group of the event. Maxwell came out of the qualifying session on Thursday as the quickest driver, posting a lap of 52.879 to be two tenths quicker than anyone else in the field. Just as he did at ROK Vegas, Macha swept the three heat races at SuperNationals 28. The opening heat on Friday was a wire-to-wire win while the second heat under the lights was a last lap win after a battle with Jake Manalio. Rain came down for the Saturday afternoon heat race, with Macha slipping back to second behind Santiago Orioli. Lap four, Macha returned to the point and went on to complete the sweep of the heat races.

Starting from the pole position, Maxwell led the Mini Swift field to the green flag on SuperSunday under the lights. Orioli got the jump from the outside of the front row and led through the opening corner. Macha was able to draft past Orioli for the lead at the start of lap two. Liam Nachawati challenged Macha early for the lead but fought him off. Eventually, Macha and Nachawati were able to push away until the closing laps. Nachawati took the lead coming to the white flag, bringing the second group back into the mix for the final circuit. Entering turn 10 on the last lap, Nachawati left enough room for Macha to make a move, and he did. Zayne Burgess followed Macha and Jayden Francisco tried as well, making slight contact with Nachawati. Through the final few corners, Macha held on to cross the line first, claiming his first Mini Swift victory at the SuperNationals.

It was his second career victory at the SuperNats, having won Micro Swift in 2023, making history as the only driver to win both categories. And for a second time, Macha won both ROK Vegas and SuperNationals in the same year. This was the first time winning both Mini divisions in Las Vegas, which was also done by Kai Sorensen in 2019.
