ROK Mini

Seven different winners have stood at the top of the podium at ROK Vegas in the ROK Mini category, with an eighth new winner to be decided this year. None of the former race winners are in the 20-field, including 2024 winner Nico Orbezo moving up to the Junior ranks.

Of the three drivers returning from last year’s field, Luis Martinez (Position-One / Croc Promotion) is the top driver after finishing 14th. Martinez is coming off championships at Challenge of the Americas and ProKart Challenge in 2025. Paxton Romero (Team Benik) finished 15th a year ago while Canadian Christian Damianidis (Parolin) finished 21st.

Four of this year’s field finished in the top 10 in ROK Micro in 2024. Santiago Orioli (Velocity / Sodi Kart) was runner-up with Iker Alvarez (Team Benik) from Mexico placing fifth. Lawrence Peremen (BJR / LN Racing Kart) and Mauro Nario (Team Benik) finished inside the top 10 last year in ROK Micro.

The lone former ROK Vegas winner in the field is Maxwell Macha (Parolin Motorsport USA). The Florida driver won ROK Micro in 2023, coming off as vice-champion in USPKS championship and fourth in SKUSA Pro Tour for 2025.

Notables in the field include Cameron Johnson – third place finisher in the Florida Winter Tour championship, Nico Salazar (Orsolon / Parolin) – a fifth place finisher in the Florida Winter Tour standings, and Koa Saito (GFC Karting) – ROK Sonoma Triple Crown 1 champion.

A new winner will be decided at ROK Vegas 2025 in ROK Micro. Seven different drivers stood at the top of the podium in ROK Micro over the first seven editions of the event. Last year’s winner Wynn Godschalk has moved up the ranks, leaving a void for one of the 32 drivers entered in this year’s event to fulfill.

The top returning driver from last year is Brazilian Alvaro Medeiros (Orsolon / Tony Kart). Finishing third last year, the momentum continued into 2025 where he won the Florida Winter Tour championship. Medeiros was among the top contenders at the ROK Cup Superfinal event in Italy last weekend but left the grid late for the Final. He recorded the fast lap of the race, knifing up from 35th to 21st.

A total of nine drivers are returning from 2024, including four who finished inside the top 15. Canadian Liam Francisco (RPM / Nitro Kart) was eighth last year, Dutch Westbrook (Team Benik) 12th and Costa Rican driver Samuel Chaverri (PSL / Birelart). Chaverri is coming off victory at the RMC US Trophy Final to compete at the upcoming Rotax Grand Finals in December. Another driver to win alongside Chaverri is Jack Kotowski (TKG / Birelart). Kotowski won the Micro MAX division, coming into ROK Vegas with a finish of 18th last year.

Among the top contenders is Bahamas driver Lenox Lockhart (Velocity / Sodi Kart) – the 2025 USPKS Micro Swift champion, Aidan Go (Parolin Motorsports USA) – the 2025 ProKart Challenge champion, and ROK Sonoma Triple Crown champion Axel Tibbs (Cambrian / Birelart).
