On Saturday, September 27, long-time racer and industry member Csaba Bujdoso was involved in a practice crash at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex during the Dart Kart Speedway Club event on the 2.8-mile road course. Immediately following the incident, Csaba was transported via life flight helicopter to a nearby hospital where he was checked into the ICU. Sadly, the injuries sustained were too great as Bujdoso passed away on Monday surrounded by his family.

Csaba is the father of Robert and Andrew Bujdoso. Together, they ran Checkered Motorsports – the parent company to Magik Kart USA, Greyhound Seats USA, and Sani Competition USA. Robert is a multi-time WKA Manufacturers Cup Series champion and Andrew a three-time Rock Island Grand Prix King of the Streets winner. The Bujdoso family is among the pillars in the sport of karting in the United States.
