The new season for the United States Pro Kart Series began with success for the teams and competitors for OTK Kart USA. Those on the OTK product lines at the USPKS Daytona Super Grand Prix in Daytona Beach, Florida helped gain most victories, podiums and top five finishes overall at the ‘World Center of Racing’. The opening round of the 2025 championship began with five wins, 13 drivers on the podium including 20 top five results.

The KA100 Senior division was a sweep of the top five for OTK products. James Overbeck (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / Tony Kart) was able to recover after slipping back to 10th to claim the first win of the season. The driver from Ohio charged back forward with fast laps of the race, claiming the victory by over two seconds. Fellow 2024 race winner Pauly Massimino (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Racing Kart) was able to hold off California driver Blake Nash (Nash Motorsportz / EOS) with Senior rookies Sebastian Garzon Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart) and Matteo Papis with (Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart) completing the top five. Brandon Lemke in his debut with Speed Concepts Racing on the CS55 posted the fast time in qualifying.

Three-time USPKS champion Ryan Norberg (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) was able to begin his drive for a fourth series title with a sweep of the action in Daytona for the X30 Pro division. Norberg led the way from qualifying to the final checkered flag of the event, earning maximum points in his sweep of the weekend. Pauly Massimino (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Racing Kart) was second for much of the weekend, placing runner-up in the main event.

A total of four drivers on OTK Kart USA product filled up the top five in both Junior categories. Each class was led by Brazilian Theo Salomao (Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart). Salomao picked up his firs career victory at USPKS in the KA100 Junior class. It was a perfect weekend in the division for Salomao with fast time in qualifying and winning all three heat races. He turned that into a wire-to-wire victory by over four seconds. Julian Rivera (Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart) climbed up from 10th to win the battle for second over Canadian Nathan Dupuis (Nash Motorsportz / EOS) with Luis Fer Nunez (Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart) in fifth for his first top five result.

It was Salomao that was able to grab the victory in the X30 Junior category. Salomao won the final two heat races before winning the battle in the Final, eventually taking the victory by over three seconds. Top qualifier and Heat #1 race winner Alexander Vanchev (Rolison Performance Group / Kosmic) ended up second with Junior rookie Ashton Woon (Speed Concepts Racing / CS55) in third in his class debut at USPKS. Nathan Dupuis (Nash Motorsportz / EOS) capped off the top five.

The fifth victory for OTK Kart USA came in the KA100 Masters class thanks to Renato Jader-David (Orsolon Racing / Tony Kart). The class featured a great weekend battle with Jader-David and Martin Stone (Rolison Performance Group). Jader-David set fast time in qualifying and won the opening heat before Stone won the final two heat races. Stone led the first half of the Final before the two battled midway through the race. In the end, Jader-David was able to secure the top spot for his first series victory. Stone ended up second with Mundy Loyer (Nash Motorsportz / EOS) in fourth and Randy Klimek (Hotz Driver Development / Tony Kart) in fifth for his USPKS debut.

Lawrence Peremen (Brandon Jarsocrak Racing / LN Racing Kart) was the lone OTK Kart USA driver in the top five for Mini Swift. The Mini rookie came through with a solid performance in his class debut at USPKS after finishing 2024 as one of the top Micro drivers.

The United States Pro Kart Series resumes on May 2-4 with the Carolina Grand Prix, set for the Trackhouse Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina.
