The 16th season of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy program is set for 2025, focused on cost-effective international competition for young drivers. Countries from around the world, through their respective ASN organizations association with the FIA, select drivers to represent their nation in the program. For 2025, the Junior category featured at three events will also see a new Senior division at three other events throughout Europe.

ACCUS – the ASN for United States – puts the selection for the FIA Karting Academy Trophy to USAC Racing. When applications were open in December for the 2025 program with several drivers submitting their resume to USAC in hopes of becoming a selection. After a difficult process of narrowing down the applicants, USAC Racing selected Gage Korn as the 2025 FIA Karting Academy Trophy representative for the United States of America in the Junior division.

The now 14-year-old Korn hails from Aurora, Colorado. He began in karts at the age of four, before running around in Kid Kart competition. He advanced up to the Cadet ranks, racing in Micro Max and Mini Max. At home, his father Henry Korn put Gage in mini shifterkarts to help develop his driving skills quicker. Over the last four seasons, Korn has become one of the top karters in the country. He secured the Challenge of the Americas Mini ROK championship in 2022, winning the US Trophy Final in Mini Max that same year. Over the last four years, Korn has been a member of Team USA at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, racing three times in Mini Max before racing in the Junior Max division last year in Sarno, Italy. His best finish at the ‘Olympics of Karting’ was eighth at the 2022 edition in Portugal.

“Being accepted into the FIA Academy and representing the USA again is such an incredible honor,” commented Gage Korn to EKN. “It’s a dream come true to compete on the world stage, and I’m looking forward to giving it my all and fighting for wins. I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited to show what I can do.”

The 2025 season has been amped up with his nomination to the FIA Karting Academy Trophy program. In addition, he will be making his Pro Shifter debut at the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour in 2025, racing with Maranello Kart USA / Carblos Racing Engines. Over the last few seasons, Korn has taken his talents to dirt racing, competing in the Micro Sprint division.

The FIA Karting Academy Trophy Junior program begins on May 15-18 at the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero outside Valencia, Spain with the KZ and KZ2 European Championship. The seconds top takes the Junior category to the Arena E – Motorsportarena in Mulsen, Germany on the July 17-20 weekend. The series finale will run in conjunction with the 2025 FIA Karting World Championship, slated for September 25-28 at the Cremona Karting facility in Italy. The new Senior division will race in May (Portimao, Portugal), June (Viterbo, Italy) and August (Rodby, Denmark).
