The final day of action for the inaugural 2025 United States Pro Kart Series Daytona Super Grand Prix was completed on Sunday. The official IAME Series USA East presented by MG Tires contested the seven main events inside the Daytona International Speedway to close out the opening round of the championship series. Incoming weather to the Daytona Beach, Florida area forced officials to move the timeline up to 8am with a ‘Ready Racing’ push to get all the action in. The final checkered flag waved before Noon, allowing for teams and competitors to pack before the storms rolled in.

Ryan Norberg (RPG / Kosmic) completed the sweep on the weekend in the Rolison Performance Group X30 Pro division. After setting fast time in qualifying and winning the three heat races, Norberg led the field to the green flag for the 25-lap main event. Pauly Massimino (BJR / LN Racing Kart) started on the outside of the front row, and tucked in behind on the exit of turn one. Massimino made an attempt to the inside of turn three, however, Norberg closed the door. Contact caught Massimino’s nose into the rear bumper of Norberg, hampering his turning power. This pushed Massimino to the marbles, collecting himself but dropping back to fifth. This allowed Norberg to be able to break away from the field with Frankie Mossman (JHDD / Kart Republic) and Jakub Kolar (Vice / Kart Republic) to move into second and third. Massimino moved into fourth quickly, with Kolar allowing Massimino to by knowing he was quicker. A few laps later, Massimino was into second ahead of Mossman on lap eight. By then, Norberg had a sizeable advantage and Massimino was unable to cut into that distance over the remaining laps. Three-time champion Norberg claimed the first victory of the season, winning by over five seconds. Massimino and Mossman were second and third with Kolar running ahead of Finnegan Bayliff (TKG / Birelart).

The 52 drivers in the Brandon Jarsocrak Racing KA100 Senior class were combined for the Final after split heat races on Saturday. Pauly Massimino (BJR / LN Racing Kart) and James Overbeck (BJR / Tony Kart) led the field to the green flag with a clean start before both were shuffled back in the order – Massimino down to fifth and Overbeck to 10th. It was a large lead group early with Chrisitan Miles (MDR / LN Racing Kart) to the point with Sebastian Garzon (Orsolon / Tony Kart) in second. After the two exchanged the lead, Blake Nash (Nash / EOS) took over the role for four circuits while Massimino worked his way up to second. Overbeck was on the charge as well, climbing back up to third. Massimino grabbed the lead on lap 12, holding the position for two laps before Overback claimed control. From there, Massimino and Nash fought for second and allowed Overbeck to inch away. After 25 laps, Overbeck claimed the victory by over two seconds. Massimino beat out Nash for the third spot while Garzon and Matteo Papis (Orsolon / Tony Kart) completed the top five.

It was a double win weekend for Theo Salomao (Orsolon / Tony Kart) in the Junior categories. The first win came in the BBS Race Engines KA100 Junior class. Salomao led the 48-driver field to the green flag and jumped out to a lead over the opening circuit. He continued to stretch out to nearly a five second advantage after 25 laps to claim his first USPKS victory. The fight for second lasted the entire distance. Isaac Malcuit (MDR / LN Racing Kart) held the spot through the first seven laps before Nathan Dupuis (Nash / EOS) took over the position. He paced the large group battling behind him until Julian Rivera (Orsolon / Tony Kart) climbed up from eighth to second. Rivera held onto the spot to the checkered flag, with Dupuis into third and Travis Pettit (TB Kart USA) in fourth. Luis Fer Nunez (Orsolon / Tony Kart) completed the top five.

Salomao ended the day with a victory performance in the Speed Concepts Racing X30 Junior division. Starting from the pole position, Salomao led the first two laps before top qualifier Alexander Vanchev (RPG / Kosmic) took the lead. After leading several laps, Vanchev went defensive and it bunched up the group, also allowing Junior rookie Ashton Woon (SCR / CS55) to take over the second spot from Salomao. This gave Vanchev a bit of a gap but Salomao retook the second position and began running down Vanchev. On lap 17, Salomao was able to pull an over under on Vanchev to retake the lead. Woon also slipped past Vanchev, giving Salomao a gap out front. Two laps later, Vanchev moved into second, however, was not able to close in on Salomao. At the checkered flag, Salomao scored the victory by nearly four seconds over Vanchev. Woon celebrated a third in his class debut with Sarah Bradley (SCR / Sodi Kart) improving to fourth with Nathan Dupuis (Nash / EOS) in fifth.

The Nash Motorsportz KA100 Masters race went down to the wire with polesitter Martin Stone (RPG / Kosmic) and Renato Jader-David (Orsolon / Tony Kart) lead the field to the green. Stone got the jump as RJD fell back when the lights went out. Stone held a sizable lead early until Renato started posting fast laps of the race to cut into the gap. By lap 15, Renato had caught and passed Stone for the lead. The two swapped the top spot multiple times until lap 22 when RJD made a move that put Stone into the marbles, losing ground. Jader-David was able to drive away to the victory with Stone finishing second. Starting eighth, Scott ‘Skitchy’ Barnes (Maranello Kart) worked his way forward over the 25 laps to reach third, ahead of Mundy Loyer (Nash / EOS) and Randy Klimek (HDD / Tony Kart).

The Velocity Racing by Sodi USA came down to a photo finish. Maxwell Macha (Velocity / Sodi Kart) moved up from third at the start of the race to assume the lead over Holden Myers (TimmyTech / CompKart) and Jayden Francisco (RPM / Nitro Kart). They ran that way until lap 12 when Francisco moved from third to first. Macha regained the lead one lap later before the next circuit when Myers and DiGennaro made contact. Myers spun while DiGennaro fell down the order. This allowed Macha and Francisco to run away until the final circuit. Macha went on the defensive, bringing Santiago Orioli (ORP / Kart Republic) and Parker Ives (RPM / Nitro Kart) into the mix. Macha ran the inside line to the final corner and quickly dove down to the inside of the front straight toward the checkered flag, celebrating early. Francisco timed his move to the outside just right, getting an amazing run to the line. Only 19 thousandths separated the two, with Franciso winning the drag race for his first Mini victory. Macha suffered a disappointing second with Orioli beating Ives to the line for third. Mini rookie Lawrence Peremen (BJR / LN Racing Kart) completed the top five.

A new winner was also welcomed in the Team Ferris Racing Micro Swift class. Marcelo Flores (JHDD / Kart Republic) and Lenox Lockhart (Velocity / Sodi Kart) led the field to the green flag. Flores led the first two laps before Lockhart assumed the position. Lap 12, Flores regained the spot with Hudson Howard (JHDD / Kart Republic) moving up into the second spot. A slight error in turn one pushed Flores wide, allowing both Howard and Lockhart to slip underneath. Howard led until lap 20 when a red flag was brought out for a driver flipping in turn two. Lockhart had just made a move for the lead, however, the race was reverted to the last completed lap. This put Howard on the top of the podium for his first USPKS victory. Lockhart was second with Flores provisionally in third. A three position penalty for contact dropped Flores back to sixth, promoting Leo Simone (JHDD / Kart Republic) to third, Slate Harrell (RPM / Nitro Kart) in fourth and Brody Stoffle (JHDD / Kart Republic) up 11 spots to fifth.

The United States Pro Kart Series is set to resume over the May 2-4 weekend, returning to the Trackhouse Motorplex in Mooresville, North Carolina for a 13th time in series history.
