Stilo USA Expanding Product Line and Customer Support
Much to the benefit of generations of racers, safety in motorsports has continued to evolve year by year, decade by decade. In karting, the helmet remains the number one safety component when it comes to protecting the driver. Over the last 25 years, the Stilo brand has established itself as a leader in motorsports, focusing on their helmet models for all different forms of the sport – including karting.
Stilo was established in 1999 focused around rally motorsports. Stilo began to develop products for other sectors of motorsports that led to the introduction of the first full-face helmet dedicated to Formula and GT drivers. Their dedication for excellence, innovation and perfection increased its prestige among teams and drivers all over the world, eventually reaching the pinnacle of motorsports with Stilo racing helmets entering Formula 1 in 2015. That same year, the Italian brand became part of the Simpson Performance Group based in the USA. Stilo has always been the first manufacturer to homologate according to the newest and more stringent FIA standards.

Stilo ST5 CMR Carbon
2012 was the start of the CMR helmets for Stilo; CMR is the standard for children’s motorsports helmets. Stilo’s CMR line began with the ST4. By 2019, the ST5 line began trickling into the karting world when the ST5 CMR was established for the sport of karting. The standard CMR composite model comes in matte black or white, featuring lightweight yet robust composite material prioritizing safety without sacrificing comfort. CMR is mandatory required for drivers under the age of 15.
It was later joined by the Stilo ST5 KRT 20 karting helmet. The KRT20 is a different design, featuring the same safety and comfort aspects as the other models of Stilo karting helmets with an expansion of sizes available for adults. The KRT safety standard is trusted by organizations and federations worldwide.
For 2024 and beyond, Stilo is proud to provide a new carbon option for karting drivers. The innovation has continued for the Stilo brand in the sport of karting as they have introduced the Stilo Carbon CMR Karting Helmet. At roughly 2.5 lbs, the new carbon version of the CMR model is among the lightest helmets on the market. The Stilo Carbon CMR is derived from the prestigious lineage of auto racing helmets offering the perfect balance of safety and style. The helmet is available in sizes 54, 55, 56, 57, and 59.
All helmets feature dual density foam lining, ensuring impeccable fit and comfort in addition to the central visor locking system that is effortless and secure when leaving the grid. Interior color options are also available with special order.
In addition to the helmet line, Stilo offers rib and chest protectors. The Carbon Curva Rib Protector is engineered to provide rib protection without compromising comfort. The unique design feature flexible carbon elements that not only enhances comfort but ensures protection reinforced by the carbon fiber construction. It is available in three sizes – Small, Medium, Large.
The FIA homologated Stilo Carbon Curva 8870 Karting Body Protection includes both a rib protector and chest protector. It features the Carbon Curva technology patented by Stilo for both the rib and chest region that is required for top-level karting in Europe and the younger divisions here in the United States.
The connection to the karting community here in the United States is growing quick. With a USA headquarters based in New Braufels, Texas, karters across the United States can be serviced stateside with ease. The presence of Stilo at the track be can see through the different Stilo USA ambassadors within the sport. Over the last few years, there have been a handful of drivers representing the brand in the karting community and transitioning to wheel to wheel racing. Race Liberante and Gage Korn are among the current drivers with many others featured as Stilo USA drivers.
Its connection is in the home office as well with five-time SKUSA Pro Tour champion Jordon Musser. The Texan was named as Senior Vice President of Electronics, Safety and Racing for Holley Performance Brands – the parent company for Stilo USA. Musser is a leader in the industry and behind the wheel, winning multiple US Rotax Grand Nationals as well as ROK Cup USA events during his tenure as a karting driver.
