Big news coming from Florida as the Cup Karts North America South Division has confirmed a move of the series finale to the Daytona International Speedway. The event scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend – May 24-26 – inside the famed Daytona Beach, Florida facility.

This is among the first events outside a WKA Daytona KartWeek event to compete on the kart track located inside NASCAR Turn Three and Four. For two decades now, that area becomes a kart track for the annual December trip for the World Karting Association. In years past, the Endurance Karting program has hosted 24 hour races as well.

CKNA South moves its series finale from Bushnell Motorsports Park after the opportunity presented itself for series promoter Bret Spaude.

“This is very exciting to finally have come together! Personally, I have been working on this for about 2.5 years. Greg (Jasperson) and Steve (Vermeer) worked on getting this for many years as well, and we are excited to finally get it done. While I don’t like making changes mid-season, this is one you just can’t say no to. Daytona is such an amazing facility. The feeling of driving through the tunnel and knowing that you are racing here is something special. Bringing CKNA to Daytona should be a huge hit!”

The Cup Karts North America South Division has held two events already for the 2024 season. The season opener was back in December with the CKNA Winter Nationals held at the NOLA Motorsports Park. The second stop was to the 103rd Street Sports Complex in Jacksonville this February. Prior to the series finale at Daytona, CKNA South heads to the Atlanta Motorsports Park for the first time in series history on the April 12-14 weekend.

CKNA North, North East and Canada programs are set to begin in the coming weeks. The next major event for the organization is the inaugural CKNA Summer Nationals, scheduled for June 21-23 at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex.
